His stock rise has been pretty spectacular. Seems to improve game on game and he's a long way from the ceiling.
I'd say with some confidence this boy is going to the very top.5 -
£15-20m and he's yours mate. Price is rising, cost you more if you wait.3

When is contract up?
Hasn’t he still got just under 2 years left?
If so then then of course the club may want to cash in next summer and the player may want career progression.

I was too young to really remember our defenders in the Premier League, so I can only go by what I have seen, for me, he is the best defender I have ever seen with my own eyes play for Charlton.
He's easily the best right back, I would say he's the best defender and I honestly don't know how high his ceiling is. I think he could start for prem sides tbh.
I can't see him staying longer than beyond this season but I'd love it0 - Sponsored links:

The fella has the finest tackle I’ve ever seen!7

I would say he gives Rufus a run for his money and that is high praise indeed.4

The videos he puts out leave me slightly uneasy. Signed a new contract or wait until the transfer window is done then go for it, but until then no one is allowed to see how good he is!1

The perfect positioning, goal saving blocks, composure under pressure, ability to beat a man with ease and perfect recovery tackles are all getting a bit repetitive and predictable for my liking. Grow up, Kayne.1

Might be the best player I’ve seen in a Charlton shirt. Even if that’s an exaggeration he’s just amazing. I love him.1

Wanted him to do particularly well as soon as he arrived - mainly because I’ve got a soft spot for Harrogate, the town and substantially the Club. It's great that he’s turned out to be an absolute colossus.1

I love Kayne Ramsay0

I tried but the dam has burst and everyone is now trying to get him a Premier move 🤦🏻♂️
Kayne Richard Junior RAMSAY to be precise.
Anyone who spells Richard incorrectly must be a Dick !
How was an eastend London boy who had his academy days at Chelsea and Southampton and went on to make 2 appearances for the saints allowed to drift to the highlands of Ross county on loan and the hotbed of football at Harrogate on a permanent move for two seasons in League 2 ?
A myriad of reasons and can be on or off field issues and on many occasions a manager or head coach just believes there are better players already at a club.
I appreciate that Charlton fans are loved up 😍with Kayne so they probably didn't notice his swing and a miss against Watford down the Jimmy Seed end in front of Kaminski as he was quick enough to right his own mistake, which he did with his normal aplomb.
Ramsay is a class player for CAFC and at 24 is showcases his talent. We are only two games in and let's see how he does during the rest of the season as he would be impossible to replace and it's why the gifted Rob Apter can play the position he is as Kayne has his back.

With 2 seasons left on his contract and the owners having already funded this transfer window I don't see any need to take an offer in this window, his value will only rise, time, at the moment, is on our side.5

Will be Premier League next season if he keeps his form up all year.0 -
The boy is worth £10-15m in this market. I’d prefer we tied him down on a new deal and he can help us get to where we want to be.4

In the ego driven world of football with scouts, agents etc wanting the world to know how good they are at talent spotting, has anyone claimed to have been the eyes to have seen Kayne Ramsay at Harrogate and helped to get him to the attention of Charlton ?
If it was most of us ,we would want it known and on our CV, Ironically Charlie Kirk was a masterstroke by his agent putting out that Sheffield United were interested and CAFC then gave a longer contract and possibly an increase in wages.
So who scouted Ramsay ? "Let's be havin' you."
We have enough posters on CL that have contacts at CAFC so who do we thank or was it a person now persona non Grata? Who saw the data and spent time at Harrogate watching ?
Posters have spent so long slagging off many of our signings(many were mediocre TBF) until this and some recent windows, including Lloyd Jones when he got turned for a goal in his 1st season that let's now give credit as it's genuinely a better feeling 👏🏼

No way he gets sold this window or in my opinion next.Owners have just invested £10m in the team. A lot of that investment would be undone by selling our best player.
Couple that with a strong start to the season and I can’t see our billionaire owners selling now with the potential the club is showing.Just my opinion, but the owners seem to have shown enough ambition not to have their heads turned at this stage5
