Kayne Ramsay

Don't know how he was missed by other clubs when at Harrogate and how we got him so cheap. He's been bang on it since game 1 for us. My favourite player for a very long time.4

He won’t be sold, a few people have mentioned the board turned down interest in TC in January, we also turned down interest in Jones and gave him a new deal (both of them actually!). We aren’t the team who sell at the first chance anymore7
-
He'll be on the radar of bigger clubs, but I imagine they'll want to see more evidence that he stands out at this level than two games.
However, there's always the chance of a deadline line " panic" bid by a club shipping goals or with an injury crisis...0 -
I think he is more defensive than he was when we bought him. He can do it offensively so requires a lot of discipline which he clearly has.1

He has all the skill and physical attributes to play in the premier league as a rcb in a back three. Probably doesn’t have attacking attributes as a rb. The only thing holding him back at times is his defensive positioning. Some of his fantastic late tackles are because he was a little out of position but has the pace to recover. That’s a lot harder to do in the premier league where the pace of the forwards is so much quicker1

Running out of superlatives for the bloke, absolute Rolls Royce of a player2

God I’m in love with him0

Technically the best player we have had down her since gomez? Bar possibly Yann2

Thinking back to when he didn’t feature in pre season game and Jones was asked if it was to do with his future, he laughed and said Kayne Ramsey is going nowhere3

Ramsay made his debut in the PL in the starting line up for Southampton at the age of 18 years and 81 days. It's quite amusing to think that they let him go on a free and he's now playing in the same division and he's now worth millions.
Credit to Ramsay though because he was prepared to play at a level clearly way below his ability level in order to re-build a career but, as others have suggested, there must be a few scouts with somewhat red faces now. And Southampton of course.2 - Sponsored links:

Weeks ago I posted that we shouldn’t be looking at anything less than £7 million for him and got laughed out of town. I actually think he’s worth more than that.6

Funny enough, this guy doesn't realise how accurate his tweet is 😂

"Player ratings Reading v @AFCWimbledon: Nathan Asiimwe-Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U or someone should buy Charlton's right back whoever it is. If that player is better than this kid, he must be Cafu reincarnated. An assist to go with his goal last week, a monster of a player. 9/10"14 -

Cannot wait to see him against Leicester next week, proper big test for him but one I think he’ll pass with flying colours3

The sign of a strong club is that when we sell Kayne (which we will naturally do at some point) it sounds like we have another top tier youngster to come in for him2

Some of you are like this fella when it comes to valuing our players - stuck about 25 years ago.

He'll go at some point of course but, right now, losing Ramsay wouldn't just leave us needing a new right-sided Centre Back.
Losing his athleticism would likely expose Apter's (probable) defensive frailties.
Apter's a great addition (especially with Carey) but its KR's athleticism that frees him up to offer so much going forward IMO.7 -
If you look on MotD during the post match interviews, they had a ticker with all the incomings and outgoings of all the Prem sides with very few below £15m. If you consider that Ezri Konsa moved from Championship Brentford to Villa for £12m six years ago, then IF Ramsay can maintain his form we should be using at least £15m as a benchmark starting price.

I think he doesn’t go this year. The value of another season of champ football is greater than what we would get for him1
-
Also the next game is probably his biggest test in terms of match ups. Hes more or less up against prem standard players, lets see how he does against the Leicester attack before we get ahead of ourselves1

If Stevie Brown was the master of the block tackle, then this bloke is the king.
As if that isn't enough, he glides past opponents going forward, in a way that Paul Mortimer would have been proud of.3
