Imperious, calm and always in control.

Sorry to copy from @ValleyGary on the match thread but that was the best defensive first half performance I have seen from a  Charlton player.

And to think we found him at Harrogate. Who was responsible for finding him? Incredible really. £10million plus. He is absolutely key to how we setup, taylor made for that rcb role with a more attacking wb in front. The only problem I see is, he's irreplaceable.

Baffling how he ended up at Harrogate.  Not just a L2 club, but also a hard up, non league sort of Northern club.

From a selfish point of view, I hope there's no sell on clause,  but a side of me feels that they deserve a share of the fee if we do sell him for a massive profit.

I have a feeling that the fee we get for him next summer will fund our signings taking us to the next level. Rolls Royce of a player.
  • That was as 10/10 as it gets.

    Faultless.

I’ve never actually seen a defender like him before in my life, he reminds me of absolutely no one.

Definitely he's that good i'd give him an album.
  • I’ve never seen a player mentioned so much on an opposition forum.

He's key to our season / survival. That's why I absolutely cannot see him leaving in Jan. If he's not going to sign a new contract, sell him in the summer and use the money to reinvest. We're not going to let him go midway and risk derailing our return to this league.

Maybe a bit like Des Walker of Forest fame if you are old enough to remember him.

Kyle Walker at RCB under Pep is about the closest I can think

He's terrible. Massively overhyped and definitely not worth signing at all. Not even worth sending scout's to watch. ;)

Maybe I have let todays performance get to me a bit but I'm calling it now. Kayne will win an England cap one day.

I can see it! What an absolute gem we unearthed in Harrogate effin' Town. Hopefully the rest of the world continues to go on without notice...

Might not get there as there will be plenty of competition, but he's that good that it's not something that can confidently be ruled out.

Love him. Let us be the ones that sell him for a fortune- or just hang on to him as we progress. Just shows that there are still diamonds out there in the rough of lower leagues.

Absolutely no way I think the owners would sell him at this point so it’s a moot point but what would he be worth now ? I think £7-£10m

IF he keeps this up, and it's early days, then January could see a bid for him. However much we might not want to lose him, if a PL club came in for him with a big offer and he really wanted the move, it would be very difficult to say no.

Why are people taking about January, we’ve got to make sure we keep him the end of this window first.
