QPR have a waiting list for season tickets which is why they sell out the bottom tier with their fans.

Very well supported and invariably sell out their away allocation.

Really only their shit ground holding them back.
Not sure. I’d be surprised if they could pull in 20,000 fans on a regular basis, especially as any new stadium is likely to be a bit more out of town. Could be wrong, but I’ve been to Loftus Rd quite often (I used to live nearby in the early 80s) and I don’t remember it being full very often, except perhaps in the top flight days.
Capacity is just u set 28,500.
Here are their ‘reported’ average attendances.

    The capacity is now 18,439
KApologies for typo. Of course it’s 18.5, Loftus Rd hadn’t grown.

Our away ticket prices are based on Covered End Lower, not Upper.
That’s a stupid decision. That wouldn’t happen at any other ground. We’d be charged the premium
We used to charge a premium matchday price in the lower Covered End, combined with a cheap season ticket. There’s no reason why that area has to be the cheapest on matchday and if you have enough season tickets there it doesn’t matter what the matchday price is as there. It is the case that when we used the upper tier pricing for away fans the EFL took an interest, so we wouldn’t get away with it.

i complained about something similar at Villa in the PL and they moved away fans to the side as a consequence.

Well we have to move the away fans then.
    To where?
Maybe the West Stand Upper like the club are meant to be testing this season?

Why are people so desperate to punish opposition fans for the prices set by their clubs for which they have no control of ?
If reciprocal pricing were adopted across the board (and i appreciate there are technicalities around equivalence of product), then prices for all would soon come down. QPR fans have no reason to lobby their club around the price away fans pay at Loftus Road because it has no impact on them. If they were charged £39 for all away games, I'm pretty sure they'd soon be on the case.

I'm assuming the equivalent QPR home accommodation is charged at £39 (otherwise they would be breaking EFL rules) then there is definitely reason for their fans to lobby the club about their own seat pricing.

All QPR prices are very expensive for the poor quality of the seating. But then they have a tiny ground that they can't easily expand, so feel they can get away with it. Or that it's financially  necessary to be competitive in this division.

The club are not going to put 3000 supporters in the Champ in the West Upper as it would cause far too many issues, and very little upside
  • Feck sake. Had 580 points end of last season, just looked and I am down to 530. How does that work? Phase 8 for me.
  • Will everyone that wants a seat get one...! 🤣

50 pts from the season before last, you lost them at the start of the season.

I can’t remember how the West Upper splits into two sections but this won’t work in The Championship it’s probably something that might have taken place if we’d not got promoted.

At least half of the teams in the league will sell out the JSS. I think the only side of the West Upper that might be able to accommodate them all would be the side where the club has sold season tickets so that won’t be happening and the JSS remains the only place to accommodate a large travelling support.

Had we stayed down then yes most of the away supports could have been moved into the West Upper smaller section but thankfully we didn’t stay down.

    Bournemouth in the Championship?

You lose the lot in one go? I assumed you lost them incrementally as the 2yr anniversary of each game came up; that's a shame.  I think by the end of the season I would have been at 600 as the 575 was before play offs and this season's aways/cup games.  Bugger.

Everyone loses the points, so all the levels come down accordingly

    Bournemouth in the Championship?
That was an overspill in addition to the JSS allocation it would have been the smaller part of the West Upper.

Brighton at home in the cup, didn't they have the whole of the upper west?
  • I forgot these were on sale today. Despite being phase 1, I haven't managed to get a good seat as the entirety of Y4 has sold out already.

I'm surprised by how many fans we have with that many points as I feel there are only handful of other fans I see at every game.

    Still loads in Y3 & Y5.

Y3 looks almost identical to Y4.

The West Upper concourse covers the two wing blocks, south and north end, so very small.
It has been discussed many times and the practicalities of it happening are very difficult with policing and segregation.
    A total non starter.

I also doubt we will have that many fans with that many points, like Wrexham away last season you can almost guarantee the +1 ticket option will have been taken up by those who qualified for tickets already.
  • Will everyone that wants a seat get one...! 🤣
No...but if i manage to get in at phase 7 i am going to buy 2, and take someone who doesn't support Charlton so we can have a good day out...Its my reward after all.

Do you seriously think that happens?

You’ve literally just made that up in your own head.
Pretty much all they post in this thread. Complete make believe stuff about other fans because they have to wait until phase 7.

Indeed, buts it's the equivalence that's the problem. QPR fans have a range of price points to buy at (Blue £23 (assuming very restricted view) and Bronze £31) whereas away fans are more or less restricted to Gold at £39 (accepting they have categorized some as silver in the far reaches at £33).

The Majority of their ground is Silver at £33 - perhaps that should be how the away price benchmark is set.

Or perhaps the Premier League £30 cap has merit.

Pretty much every single away match thread as well. It's not like it's hard to move up the phases
