Didn't one of the first team coaches bugger off to the mackems the other day ?bolloxbolder said:Tracey and now Will leaving. What's going on?
Terrible news.0 -
Just when you thought we were stable, all is well etc a few departures and we're back to wondering what's going on. Confusion and concern, hello old friends.5

Hopefully he’ll be classy enough not to celebrate when he gets someone fit enough to play against us.15

Didn't he have that at Brighton?killerandflash said:
A PL team probably offered him 50% more money. Plus the chance to work with top players. That would be hard to resist.Tunwellsaddick said:Big shock.
His influence has probably made the biggest impact at the club and on the fitness go players since his arrival. Previously we seemed to have several ongoing problems with a number of players out with injuries.
10 years at Brighton before coming to Charlton and not quite 2 years with us. Surprisingly short stay?
I hope it is a significant career move upwards for him and not a sign of new problems within the club. (with others leaving).
Thanks for everything Dr Abbott, I feel you will be hard to replace.0 -
Unless they have got it straight from the horses mouth then they know no more than the rest of us.CafcSteve said:
Don’t know why people post stuff like this.raytreacy said:Both Tracey Leaburn and Will Abbots departures were down to one man. You could call it professional differences . Don’t shoot me, I have this from somebody at the Club.
Either say the full story or nothing at all.0 -

Someone please ask about this tonight (even though we cannot expect a full and frank answer). I've already put in a different question, so I can't do it.
But if he's gone to a Prem. club in a senior role we'll just have to take it on the chin. I'm just not sure it will be so easy to replace him, he is clearly very talented.0 -
When the two contestants on Jimmy Tarbuck’s show the winner takes it all had two different answers, he would say looks like with have a different of opinion.0

Was head of Academy Sports Science or something so we gave him a promotion. Didn't work with their first team.carly burn said:

Wonder if we’ve blown the budget on players, and neglected to give the coaching staff, championship wages?6

I could imagine that someone in Will Abbott's role could come into conflict with a manager. I think that happens quite a lot. But from what I know of Tracey's role, I can't see how her work would cause a big issue for NJ.ElfsborgAddick said:
I'll say it is Nathan Jones, should you be correct.raytreacy said:Both Tracey Leaburn and Will Abbots departures were down to one man. You could call it professional differences . Don’t shoot me, I have this from somebody at the Club.
Am I too far off the mark?4 -
And here, for me, is the problem with people posting ambiguous rumours on social media. It leads to discussion and supposition around people who probably have nothing to do with it.
It’s not fair on them, or anyone else who is involved.
If you’re going to say something in a public forum I think it’s only fair you give all the detail, instead of causing unneeded debate and potentially dragging other people’s names through the mud.25 -
Big increase in fitness and availability of players once he joined, fingers crossed for no drop off going forward. Hopefully we learned a few things from him and replace him accordingly.3
-
3 key backroom staff gone/going in quick succession, who each made a notable difference. Standards have been so high of late, they'll be big shoes to fill.6
-
Personally think that there is nothing sinister going on and I am not ITK but may just be a sign of the progress that we have made means others take notice and our back room staff are therefore seen as desirable by others who can offer more money opportunities
There seems little doubt that Dr Abbott was very successful in improving our players fitness and crucially their availability I wish him well in the future and thank him for what he’s done for the club9 -

Maybe several fans can ask the question via whatsapp tonight?
Would be great to get some clarification regarding the departures and if the club plan on properly replacing them. I think its a valid concern1 -
Absolutely, give names, just add allegedly to the post. Simple.FishCostaFortune said:And here, for me, is the problem with people posting ambiguous rumours on social media. It leads to discussion and supposition around people who probably have nothing to do with it.

I thought the extended interview he did with Charlotte did hint at some tension with the sports science department.0

Can't be much more challenging than trying to get Aneke match fit. What is he going to do next.....ski down Mt Everest 😆.0 -
NJ can be a bit of a rant & raver. Wouldn't put it past there being a few shouting matches between team managers & those directly around him.CafcSteve said:
