Perhaps indicative of the success we've had. We've done a great job of signing important players to longer contracts and giving the youth long contracts before they break through. This can't really be done with staff and it would appear the higher ups in the football pyramid have noticed.
People move on to better jobs—it really is that simple. But try telling that to large parts of our fanbase, who will be currently auditioning for a group mental breakdown.
Wonder if there's callbacks with Small a little where probably other Championship/Prem clubs are able to offer more wages-wise than we are currently.
I think on the available evidence it is pretty certain that Apter was coming in to be number one in that position, and we didn’t rate Small enough to pay him what we are paying other first team players in wages.
His influence has probably made the biggest impact at the club and on the fitness go players since his arrival. Previously we seemed to have several ongoing problems with a number of players out with injuries.
10 years at Brighton before coming to Charlton and not quite 2 years with us. Surprisingly short stay?
I hope it is a significant career move upwards for him and not a sign of new problems within the club. (with others leaving).
Thanks for everything Dr Abbott, I feel you will be hard to replace.

A PL team probably offered him 50% more money. Plus the chance to work with top players. That would be hard to resist.
Both Tracey Leaburn and Will Abbots departures were down to one man. You could call it professional differences . Don’t shoot me, I have this from somebody at the Club.

You can’t just leave it there, at least give us the intials?
As well as NJ, Dr Will has been one of our most significant and important 'signings' this last 2 years. it's a big loss.
Seeing as we got him from a Prem club in Brighton, we must of offered a decent package to obtain his services. I hope the club offered him an upgrade on his contract to try to keep him prior to his decision to leave.
I get people wish to move on and further their careers, but to have 3 high profile backroom staff leave within a couple of months of each other, 2 of which have happened this week alone, I cant help but to prick my ears for the potential sound of alarm bells starting to toll. These moves usually happen off season, not when the new season has begun and surely not the season after promotion, with the club in an upward projection?
Is NJ's 'passionate' ways too much at times? As brilliant as he is, the bloke would be marmite to some. I sincerely hope the departures are due to their success with us, and with that, new and bigger opportunities have been offered from elsewhere.
It would be a good question to ask the board in the meeting being held today online, as to the exodus of staff recently.

I'll say it is Nathan Jones, should you be correct. Am I too far off the mark?

How does one audition for a breakdown...
You might’ve missed the first group as it's already started, but don’t worry—another course starts January 1st and runs for a whole month, so you’ll have plenty of time to regret signing up.

Hmm, did confirm the Burke transfer so I'm inclined to believe this.

We were also a promotion, as he had a more junior job at Brighton.

You mean Tracey isn’t stepping aside so Miles can progress with his career—without having his mum working closely with his manager and teammates?

No wonder Miles body language has looked so poor…..

We are a newly promoted from the shit league club - of course there will be other Prem/Championship clubs that can pay more than we are able to do.
The best ability is availability and Abbott worked magic with much of our squad.

A real shame if so.
