    If they do go bust, Skysports are left with just Sheff Utd and Hull to pick for their Friday night games. Last season, I think every Friday night game I tuned into had to involve one of Leeds, Hull and the two Sheffields.  
    I’m pretty sure they have Wrexham primed to fill any gaps on the tv schedules…

    I think they have to install lifebelts before that can open it.

    Very confused interview from Powell I felt.  Saying you can't have a single owner of a club as when they get bored and stop putting money in it falls apart like it has at Wednesday but then lording the model at Wrexham and Birmingham as they have a plan... But surely both are entirely dependent on their owners, who, if they get bored will see the likely death of Wrexham and who knows for Birmingham.

    Suppose the idea is that with multiple owners you would likely have a contract in place between them meaning that a single owner can't simply 'pull out'. 

    Whereas a single owner is free to do whatever they want, whenever they want.

    both Wrexham and Birmingham have multiple owners.  Reynolds has barely over 65% ownership and McIlheny actually has a very small ownership percentage.  It is well known in the private equity circles in the US that reynolds was actively marketing more minority ownership to help fund the equity necessary to push for premier league promotion as he doesn’t want fund a substantial portion of the losses himself

    I believe it's the first payment of the PL solidarity payment. Kicked the can down the road a little bit

    Maybe Wrexham have more than the Hollywood duo as owners but those Private Equity bods will still throw in the towel is the Hollywood boys leave and the advertising money and American interest that follows them dries up.

    Sheffield Wednesday players and staff have received their outstanding wage payments.

    Sky Sports News understands the Championship club were only able to do this after receiving their solidarity payment from the Premier League this week.

    What the hell is a "solidarity payment from the Premier League" ? Never heard of it before.

    Sheffield Wednesday players and staff have received their outstanding wage payments.

    Every club in the Championship receives a Premiership solidarity payment of about £5 million pounds per year excluding clubs on parachute payments.
    This payment is severely reduced for League 1 and 2 teams.
