I may have missed them being down south & not being reported locally.
“No-one’s buying the new replica kit”, was the reply.
i always felt the most impactful action taken against RD were the protests in Belgium for him to experience first hand and also local media coverage which no doubt embarrassed him.

Bloke clearly loves the club and at his age probably couldn't be arsed to move elsewhere for 1-2 years.3 -

What’s got to change is that football needs to eradicate these unscrupulous owners willing to cheat and run clubs like playthings at the expense of anything and everyone else. Very sadly it might take the demise of a great and famous football club like Sheffield Wednesday to make the rest of English football sit up and do something. Again sadly I doubt it will make one iota of difference. Football is basically a disgusting sport these days. Greed and more greed have ruined it.3

Bannan seems to me to be a credit to footballers. The ship is sinking but he has chosen to stay on board and fight for the club.3

The club is not paying staff, HMRC or clubs they owe transfer fees to. Surely that is worth more than a transfer embargo. When a new owner comes in they need to show that have adequate funds & source of those funds. If Chansari cant do that then they need to act. Whether that is a points deduction, relegation, being thrown out the League I dont know. But simply saying "nothing we can do" is a crock of shit
And if the rules aren't in place then put them there. It might be too late for SW but it will stop another club going down this route.....or we will be saying the same next season when Leicester, Wrexham or some other club gets into trouble.2 -

He has publicly said that he wants non playing staff to be paid before he takes a penny.
He obviously loves the club and I reckon he would take £7k a week in this situation and at this point in his career.I dislike the guy because of the spat with our player all those years ago but the noises he is making can only be commended.
he could easily have ran to Wrexham for £20k plus but has decided to stay and fight. Fair play5 -
Have they played any pre season games?0

A shocking thing to wish that upon him. Oh yes, of course, he has family who the club can be passed down to.

operationpig said:charltonkeston said:Back in the’80s we nearly lost everything and there were more than just rumours that our would merge with another. Maybe the time is approaching that it becomes reality for a couple of clubs. If the two Sheffield clubs merged they could be massive. Both clubs could claim to be the original. They both share Sheffield in their names, They both play in stripes. One rents a ground, big saving there. One has better players and was knocking on the promotion door last season, instant improvement.
Do you know the level of hatred we actually have for each other?0 - Sponsored links:

This is our lowest ever point in our history .
Things changing here every hour !
Meanwhile the dictator is away with his family having a wonderful holiday posting nice snapshots online whilst some of the debt recovery people are launching action against staff .
You couldnt make it up.
Not sure why you are even having a dig at me for this, us fans dont have no control over him do we and i personally know how thst deal went down ..dont even gonthere mate because with all respect you really dont know the ins and outs of that deal.
Sheffield Wednesday have been cheating for years, getting away with it with the EFl bottling punishment which sent us down.
The average Wednesday fan didn’t give a flying f**k when the team was benefiting from this cheating.
no sympathy from me now.
The fans have always questioned Chansiri's decisions not embraced them!
You might get the odd comments online winding fans of other clubs up but moat of us were always concerned.Todds_right_hook said:SWFChamish said:Todds_right_hook said:operationpig said:Todds_right_hook said:operationpig said:ShootersHillGuru said:operationpig said:I actually cant see us starting the season after what ive been told today.

I don't fully understand this sentiment when firstly the amount of Wednesday fans that have been concerned about this sort of thing and have stopped going and spending money over the years is huge and secondly we literally WERE punished by the EFL. We had points deducted which caused a relegation, we've been under embargo's repeatedly on and off for years. To me it highlights the unacceptable running of the club for years. Not many fans were celebrating that I can assure you, no matter how it looks. You stayed up by cheating that year and we played by the book and went down. You’ve got an owner who broke the rules to try and reach the riches of the premier league but it failed and you are now screwed. If your cheating worked and you got promoted to the premier league and your owner used the premier league riches to keep you there, I doubt a single Wednesday fan would have a bad word to say about the owner or care about the fake companies etc.
Fans are fikle pal.
Having said that you got relegated because you also finished in the bottom 3 .
We were done the season after.ShootersHillGuru said:Sheffield Wednesday did cheat and that’s Chinsiris fault. They didn’t get a timely punishment. That’s the fault of The EFL. @operationpig, I am assuming Chansiri is selling Hillsborough?
The guy is a nasty piece of work.
PS, were there any problems with the supporters when you had the wonderful Katrien Meire with you?0 -
