Thats a massive false equivalence, Patino was never heralded and as acclaimed as Dowman has been. Patino was over exaggerated by a few Arsenal fans. As i said previously, those ITK in football have been hearing about Dowman for some years since he was 12/13, in the same manner people did about Lamal, Messi, Wilshere (admittedly that one didnt work out), Bellingham, CR7. Patino wasn't really talked about until he was 16/17 and made a few appearances.Swisdom said:

He's been ever present for 4 seasons, passed medicals with Cambridge and Reading.
Will be interesting to see if we find out more or it will be left there. I hope it's something that isn't completely dead and a deal that can still be made, but that seems very unlikely, not something that happens often in football.
This is tough, that would have been the business of the summer and he was everything we needed in this team, have to hope we have alternatives now
