I am now resigned to the reality that Joe Gomez is staying at Liverpool and we won’t be getting unexpected millions this transfer window.7

"We have made it clear to Harv that if a bid comes in that is substantial to take him away, fair enough. If not, he won’t be going"0 -

Knibbs has a year left on his contract and is unlikely to sign another with undoubtedly better wages else where so Reading would be stupid not to cash in while they can.
Buy both and Yates and move on Godden.1 -

The signings they're making and the money he's chucked around it will be very funny if they don't go up.1 -
I can see Kelman happening but not Knibbs.1
-
Don’t see either9
-
Can't see it being Kelman. Yates would make more sense. Knibbs I think will end up going to Sheffield United with Selles2

That was in 23/24 when Kelman also had 14 games at Wigan.
I think it's been established that 24/25 was his breakthrough season and QPR now have to decide do they cash in or give Charlie another chance in the Championship at 23 years old 🤔

Never saw Kelman as a Jones type.
That said, he'd have a great mentor in Godden.
I'm a bit meh about it if I'm honest.2 -

Not surprised on May, as good as he is I didn’t expect him to play in the Championship, especially with the budget Birmingham have.2

No disrespect to you, me or any other but Nathan, Phil, Dane and the Money men behind Charlton will decide if we take a punt on Kelman even if QPR are prepared to take 2 or 3 million or whatever is his value with one year left of his contract extension and he scored in League one in 24/25.
Also is it a rumour with legs or not.
I'm enjoying this window compared to the last 5 seasons.👏🏼2 -

I think our next couple of signings are going to be flown in under the radar.4

To establish himself as a first-team regular at Charlton Athletic, Karoy Anderson, like any aspiring professional footballer, needs to focus on a combination of factors:
1. Consistent High-Level Performance:
On the Pitch: This is the most critical element. He needs to consistently perform at a high level in training and whenever given an opportunity in matches (whether starting or coming off the bench). This means demonstrating his technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness game after game.
Reliability: Managers need players they can trust. He needs to minimize errors and show that he can execute the game plan consistently.
2. Technical Skill Refinement:
Ball Control & First Touch: Essential for any midfielder to retain possession and create opportunities.
Passing Range & Accuracy: The ability to execute both short, incisive passes and longer, accurate balls to switch play or find teammates.
Decision-Making: Knowing when to pass, dribble, shoot, or hold the ball. This comes with experience and tactical understanding.
Using Both Feet: While he's right-footed, developing proficiency with his left foot will make him more unpredictable and effective in various situations.
Position-Specific Skills: As a central midfielder, this includes defensive actions (tackling, interceptions, positional awareness), aerial duels, and potentially contributing to goal-scoring or chance creation.
3. Tactical Understanding and Adaptability:
Understanding the System: Knowing Charlton's preferred formations, tactical instructions, and how his role fits into the overall team strategy.
Positional Awareness: Being in the right place at the right time, both offensively and defensively.
Adaptability: Being able to play different roles within the midfield (e.g., defensive midfield, central midfield, attacking midfield) if required, as well as adjusting to in-game changes.
4. Physical Development & Endurance:
Cardiovascular Fitness: Being able to maintain high intensity for the full 90 minutes.
Strength & Agility: Essential for winning duels, protecting the ball, and quickly changing direction.
Injury Prevention: Maintaining peak physical condition to avoid injuries that would keep him out of contention.
5. Mental Attributes:
Resilience & Mental Toughness: The ability to handle pressure, bounce back from mistakes or setbacks, and maintain focus.
Work Rate & Commitment: Demonstrating a strong desire to improve and contribute to the team, both on and off the pitch.
Coachability: Being open to feedback, eager to learn, and willing to implement instructions from the coaching staff.
Confidence: Believing in his own abilities and taking calculated risks when appropriate.
6. Professionalism:
Discipline: Adhering to club rules, training schedules, and maintaining a professional attitude.
Teamwork & Communication: Integrating well with teammates, communicating effectively on the pitch, and contributing positively to the team environment.
Consistency: Delivering strong performances not just occasionally, but consistently across matches and training sessions. Scouts and coaches look for reliability.
Karoy Anderson is a Charlton academy graduate, has signed a long-term contract, and has already gained senior experience, including international recognition with Jamaica. This indicates he has talent and potential. The key for him now will be to consistently apply and develop these areas to demonstrate to the coaching staff that he is a reliable and impactful player who deserves a permanent starting spot.

Are they purposely trying to create some sort of rivalry with someone/anyone because they've had none for the past 150 years of their existence?

Would be nice if deadline day was just a few youngsters and out of favour players going out on loan4
