I watched both the Orient play off games and for Kelman was always in and about the action, someone else mentioned about getting Mendonca vibes and I have to agree, not that I think he's the next Mendonca but that type of striker you know if you don't keep quiet, will make something happen.
In the play offs Olaofe, Horsefall and Wooton all stood out for me for Stockport but Kelman was the only one who did for Orient. Many people on here raved about Galbraith I couldn't even have picked him out on the pitch, not that he wasn't effective but i'm generally rubbish at noticing how well opposition players are playing as i'm usually watching our players how we're reacting, defending etc. Same with others who raved about Offiah for Blackpool, couldn't even have picked him out on the pitch.
Anyway, rambling on a bit now, just feel Kelman would be a great signing just one of those strikers who's always in the game and very noticeable to people like me who don't notice opposition players much.3 -
Here's the obligatory video - all his goals and assists at Orient last season.

Not sure I see much of Super Clive. More a clone of Matty Godden for me. Should the rumours be true and he is on his way to us which I’m still sceptical of then I’d still say we need a target man to hold the ball up and bring midfield into play.3

I still wouldn't be surprised if the striker signing was the biggest of the window in terms of fee. Could see us easily spend more than what we did on Apter for the right man.14

I don’t believe this rumour.
I just cannot believe that Kelman is Jones type of player. Also I cannot see QPR selling him to a rival when they could be in danger of relegation themselves.4 -
TeeC said:I was 95% certain this was bollocks until @Amos on the wing chirped up. Tbf doesn’t seem to be a lot of demand for him - most will consider him a risk given his goal record at the level. I think he’s a junior Godden and we should pay up £3m for him.3

We have Olaofe who we seen in the two pre season games how good he is leading the line , holding the ball up , bringing others into the game1 -

Amos on the wing said:Was told the same rumour about Kelman two weeks ago from someone at O’s
I know he was there on loan, but why would an Orient staff member know about our transfer business. Unless they're quite high up at Orient and have direct contact with Kelman himself?
Sorry just being nosey.
I think people are having a laugh though if they wouldn't want Kelman personally. His attitude and playstyle scream Charlton to me, and he's already attributed his skillset to Godden, who else better to train with as he transitions.
I would be buzzing with Kelman, I think he would have a similar immediate impact here that May/Lyle/Godden have had, just see him as a good fit.10 -

ForeverAddickted said:Yeaaa okay... and I'll get Charlie Robert Martin Lee-Kelman tattooed on me dick if we sign him!!
Trouble is, unless he’s feeling randy, it looks like it says “Rob Lee” and he’s reminded of our vile club. 🤪5 -
After watching the Kelman video, he certainly knows where the goal is, and controls the ball very well quickly and close.
I got a hint of tantrums when he played against us, I understand that his record for QPR is brilliant. So would he fit in well with the squad, and could he reproduce last season's form for us in the Championship? If he could, then he looks like a good addition if we got him.
Miles at his best is superb, but he just hasn't been at the races since his injury.
Mbick looks like he could become a star too, but perhaps a bit early for him this season?
I'm not sure if TC is going to be too effective in the Championship, at least for now.
For me, that just leaves an aging Godden from last season who I would feel confident in.
Another attacking player would be a welcome addition.3 -

Don't want Kelman. Prefer strikers with more speed about them.1

I do absolutely think a Charlton fan copied his username and posted on the Blackpool forum for a wind up, but i think the Orient ones are genuinely just an Orient fan with a bizarre hatred towards us.1 -

Cawley has mentioned on substack that Freddie Woodman was one of our keeper targets before he went to Liverpool.
Would have been an interesting one.0 -
Getting twitchy yet are ya @ForeverAddickted…🤣3

Don't think qpr will be in the relegation mix, their attacking options look very good0

Valley11 said:Think Kelman would be a great move. As someone else said, CK said he has spoken to Godden about the art of leading the line so it would be pretty decent to have both of them as options next season. Matty training up his successor.
The first time I saw Kelman play I liked what I saw with his movement and then early last season while watching highlights of League 1 goals he struck me as a decade younger Matty Godden.
Many players careers are made with one good season.
Lyle Taylor was average until he was 26 and even the Wembley hero Clive Mendonca didn't blossom until he was into his late 20's at Championship and above.
I will be amazed if Godden again plays more than 65 minutes in the tough Championship 25/26 and Kelman is the striker nearest to his style.
However tenuous the rumour, and I have no idea how QPR rate Charlie other than they gave him a 3 year contract at 21 and he spent one season at Gillingham and two at Orient and now this season is the one year extension.
At 23, Kelman in the right team could be a useful championship forward and goal scorer.
Like most of our transfers they are punts not guaranteed and why we may get an Ajose or a Lyle Taylor baby type before he became persona non Grata.5 -
Someone on Facebook claiming Knibbs didn’t feature for Reading over the weekend and it’s as good as done that he’s coming here.Interesting if it’s true as he’s known for being a hard worker and loves to press. Sounds like a NJ type of signing23

I prefer strikers who score goals.
You weren't keen on super Clive at cafc or Sheringham for England ?
Fast strikers like Ian Wright and Gary Lineker who also scored obviously gravitated to the top level.2 -

If we've got the budget I'd go for Nathan Lowe at Stoke. Scored for fun at Walsall last season , has been linked to Luton.
Only 19 and already 6ft 4.5 -
