    Absolutely. The pub is historic, but not the Thames Pathway that they have commandeered for their own use. 
    That said, I actually think RBG should work with them and find a way to make this work. There’s more space around where the tables / benches are than further on as you head towards the Cutty Sark, centre of Greenwich. If people can navigate that part, then the pub area should be fine. 
    And in reality, it’s not like this is a year round issue. Although with this climate warming…🥵 😉

    It does feel like the council are being petty / awkward when there isn’t an obvious issue.

    Pavement eating / drinking when many businesses struggle is not a bad thing generally I’d say.

    I assume they are wary of creating a precedent and there are some issues re access at busy times - it does get blocked.

    Beautiful historic building but had a horrific pint of guiness before the Lincoln game. Ridiculous decision but essentially a pub for the tourists.

    It is an issue, I regularly walk along there and the pubs appropriation of the path isn’t ok. It’s theft pure and simple of something that isn’t theirs.

    Had my wedding reception at the Trafalgar…the tables outside don’t seem to interfere with the walkway…it’s lovely to see people enjoying the weather outside on those tables…shame

    This is fucking bullshit my 89 year old father got 2 fines of £65 driving down at John’s park road in Blackheath…I don’t live in Uk anymore but what with the cameras congestion charges and speed bumps it’s a nightmare driving in London.

    There's no doubt the extra seating creates a bottleneck on busy weekends. It's an area where people have always stood to admire the view in both directions.
    The owner also has form for appropriating areas that are not his. He's done it with his previous pubs which is probably why the council are not being very sympathetic.
