I didn't stay for the last 6 overs or so. A painful spectacle really, so easy for the batsmen.
Not knocking any of the players who made centuries in this match, but in reality they were easy runs.

624 runs on the board, 132 overs, 8 bowlers utilised and DBD still doesn't bring himself onto bowl. He clearly just does not bowl these days and that must be a legacy of his injuries.0

Muyeye was a better bowler than I had expected, for a very part time bowler. Leaning not playing gave him more of a chance to turn his arm over.

Muyeye and Denly junior had a long spell bowling together, and looked just as dangerous as Parky on that featherbed.1

I was disappointed in Agar yesterday. Brutal conditions, but he didn't look dangerous, and had no control either. Quinn at least kept it tight.
That last session was brutal for the Kent players. At 424-6 we still had an element of control, but Zaib and Broad were then able to accelerate the scoring. I've seen criticism from some quarters that they didn't declare, but I can't blame the Northants captain for sparing his bowlers the horrible conditions yesterday when the game is 99.9% certain to finish in a draw.1 -
As a Northants fan pleased that we have got some good batting practice. The wicket must be as dead as platforms and flares. If there is any play around the rain today maybe it will liven up a little.0

The needs of a team will always come before that of an individual. If that landmark was so important to Zaib then, perhaps he should have taken the responsibility to hit one of his final 16 balls for a boundary - he was facing Parkinson and Jaydn who between them returned 3-348 at an ER of 5.35 on a dead track so it's not as if it was impossible to do so.killerandflash said:

If the boot were on the other foot and we went out again after lunch, waited for our player to score 4 runs, then lose 20 minutes (including the break) in doing that and then failed to take the final wicket, even the person achieving that milestone wouldn't have been too chuffed.0 -
