You sure Axl showed up for work by 7pm?cafctom said:Guns N Roses at Wembley Stadium a couple of days ago.
Always been a massive fan, and this is my 3rd time seeing the reunited lineup.Axl’s voice does struggle in places but the energy and effort he puts in makes up for it. As a band they actually get better as it goes on. Ended up being a 3 hour set covering 30+ songs. They definitely try to give people their money’s worth. The only thing is that it means the show started at 7, whilst the stadium was still only half full.
Slash was incredible as usual. Doesn’t miss a beat.
Is your watch slow? 🤣
How was the sound? GnR at Tottenham couple of years back was atrocious0 -
Iron Maiden at our Olympic Stadium on Saturday were terrific.
75000 very happy punters1 -

Ahhh! That makes sense now!Covered End said:
It's because there is the circle upstairs and they don't want circle ticket holders in the stalls.IAgree said:
Yes I know but it was easier getting a pint in the foyer, less of a queueCovered End said:
Why did you keep going to the foyer?IAgree said:Have sworn off stadium and O2 Dome gigs and I’m only going to smaller venues.Sick of paying ludicrous prices, if lucky enough to get a ticket, for what is essentially a poor overall experience. Loathe the O2 Dome with a vengeance (although have been to some memorable gigs there). The whole thing stinks. Overpriced tickets, overpriced drinks, overpriced parking and then watching artists who you can often barely see.
On Tuesday, at the hall by the sea in Margate, we were a couple of yards from the stage. Even at the back downstairs at the Brixton Academy for Pixies 🧚♂️ there was loads more atmosphere (although having repeatedly show your ticket every time you returned from the foyer was a pain).
Next gig is Christone “Kingfish” Ingham in Kentish Town.
There are bars at the back and a toilet in the small room off the back of the auditorium.
There is also a "gents" on the left hand side as you look at the stage (towards the front).
You don't need to show your ticket at all if you exit the auditorium on the right hand side as you exit and go into the attached room with a bar and toilets.
You do need to show ticket every time if you exit via left side into auditorium.
I don’t understand why, once you go in through the initial security, which was greatly beefed up, you then have to have further checks - seems a little pointless. That’s said last time I went to Brixton was pre Covid - Mastodon - and overall I this time was far better organised after the reopening.
My favourite London venue is the Roundhouse - Saw Killing Joke
I prefer the better view at Brixton with the sloped floor.1 -
Duran Duran tonight with Nike Roger’s support…………..just let me staple the vicar……….we’re making love in a femidom 😎🤣🤣2

My first ever "proper" gig was at Wembley arena in 1978. The Great British Music Festival (became "The Brits"), wento see The Rich Kids. Also playing were The Real Thing and David Essex. 6 months later, my first Damned gig and I have seen them numerous times ever since. Might go to the 50th anniversary and make it the last time I see them.RalphMilnesgut said:

Saw Train at the Hammersmith Odeon (or Eventim Apollo, if you must). What a fabulous act they are. Impossible not to like.

Got to say, a magnificent gig at Musgrave Park last night.
Nike Rogers & Chic getting the crowd going and then Duran Duran smashing out hit after hit. They seemed to love it too, especially after they asked us to give them a rendition of Fields of Athenry. A night that will live long in the memory 🤩2 -

I was there as well for the 10th anniversary mate. I was wearing a Replay shirt Hard Core jeans and light blue Gazelles. Stood right out amongst the mohicans. I got right in the middle of it for the encores and surprised a few punks who were wondering who the soul boy casual was.

Dr & The Medics were one of the support acts on Saturday, they were brilliant. New Model Army (who were also great) and The Fall were there on Sunday.Greenhithe said:

Kneecap + amyl and sniffers (dog) + Fontaines today. Can’t wait, shame about the weather.3

Duran Duran were outstanding last night, as were Nile Rodgers/Chic.
Great sound quality at Chelmsford Racecourse, really surprised me.2 -

It was great. Fantastic energy from kneecap and Amyl. Was over on the right hand side by the trees.BalladMan said:Kneecap + amyl and sniffers (dog) + Fontaines today. Had to move to back left for encore due to the single exit lane which didn’t help the vibe. Easy enough back to London Bridge and home though. Saw Maisie Adam, joey Page and heard aisling Bea there too. Also Stuart Pearce was behind us looking well!1 -
Anyone see some band called Black Sabbath yesterday? I can't see any threads on it.0

Agree with all the above. Seen Fontaines once before and they are improving as a live band. Will never have the energy of Amyl or kneecap due to musical style and personality. If they can produce another mainstream success like Romance for the next album they will be headlining glasto next tour.suzisausage said:

Was getting a lot of attention.1 -

If anyone is looking for something to do on Friday 22nd August. My band have just announced a gig in London with a limited amount of early bird tickets only £5. If there's enough Charlton there we may just have to play Tyreece Campbell live ;-) . For fans of Rock & Indie. Spotify: Simmons And The Stags

Bastille at The 100 Club last night were superb. The guys were so obviously delighted to be playing again and it really came across all night. Loved it. Give Liang Lawrence a listen too if you get a chance…really enjoyed her set.
