I’m guessing that means very unlikely. HMRC are owed so unless Chansiri changes his tactics they are bang in trouble. Seems he wants £5 million up front to start negotiations for any sale. They don’t even have any pre season games arranged yet apparently.1

Thing is. When you have an owner like Chansiri it’s very likely that there are a few surprises in store for when DD takes place. Hard to believe he’s run the business squeaky clean in all aspects when the rest of the business has been so badly run. I think their best chance is if Chansiri puts them into voluntary administration before HMRC gets moving. Even a quick sale, if he relents is fraught with problems. Given the clubs finances I find it hard to believe any buyer would stump up £5 million just to talk. Can they survive without money even to starting the season in six weeks ? I also understand that one of the Hillsborough stands is in need of significant repairs and might not get a safety certificate. If non playing staff are not getting paid how will they even organise and run a matchday ?3

Bit like us under Roland,we got to the point we didn't have any saleable assets left and he eventually sold up1

Think I read that if the players aren't paid Monday they can hand in their notice and leave 15 days after that.0 -

Would like to think the players that are being paid put it all in a "pot" and share equally among everybody.
How did this charlatan get by the Fit and Proper person test. ?0 -

Looks like anyone can walk away Monday.0 -
Might not be able to field a starting 11 against Leicester but will still start with 0 points.0

Anyone reckon Textor will take over?

Does the £300m include the taxi company?5

Unless Chansiri really isn't bothered about those players leaving (Bannan for example whilst still a good player, is old and will be on high wages) then it seems madness to not have paid them.0
-
I’m not sure how the manager gets to negotiate a settlement if HE wants to leave. I would have thought he would be in the same position as the players. Owed money and can also do the Club for breach of contract.
The players not paid seem to be those at the end of their careers or have had injuries with little sell on value.
At least the monies due to Revenue and Customs will be a bit less, but it is cynical, disrespectful and disgusting behaviour.
I would hope that they get significant points deduction so that the Clubs value diminishes and he gets less money.1 -
Obviously things can change but right now you'd have to say that anyone finishing below Sheffield Wednesday will be relegated.2

I have them , Hull and Stoke (sorry Bob) as my 3 to go down. Points deductions and not having a squad will pretty much put them down, Hull are a mess (the owner is having a Sky documentary made about his ownership which will be entertaining) and Stoke just seem to hover around the trapdoor even if I rate Mark Robins.0

Preston have gotten away with it too long doing nothing and with teams coming up and staying up the likes of them and Stoke will really be in the mix this year. Oxford survived once but the second season is always a lot harder.1 -

Oxford - Sheff Wed - Hull would be my pick for the three relegation spots.
I'd be "amused" if Preston went down, seeing that Small ditched us for a team, like Martin says that have gotten away with doing nothing for a while, and will have to deal with a bit of a rebuild themselves this year.1 -

The best thing you can say about them is that they are consistently average, and average is always enough to keep them up versus below average teams. But eventually you'd think it has to catch up with them, like it just did with Cardiff.8 -

A suggestion to the Sheffield Wednesday owner. Keep the ground and training ground and sell the
football club with its liabilities for £1 to who ever wants it.4 -
Sheffield Wednesday players could be set to walk out of the club en masse after the club failed to pay the full squad their wages for the third time in just four months.FIFA regulations state that players can terminate their contracts by given written notice if they don’t receive their contract salary for two successive months.0
