No. I’m pretty sure that end only holds about 3000. 2000 in the upper tier and a thousand in the lower tier. If they leave the lower end blocks empty it is usually around the 2700 mark. Sunderland got the whole end hence why they bought 3kElfsborgAddick said:

Ah yes. Just looked it was a sell-out of 18,385, with Sunderland bringing 3,042. Meaning 1,761 seats are not used for segregation etc reasons.MillwallFan said:

Found this so it does seem like your away end holds more than 3k, but you just don't sell the end blocks of either tier or the front rows of the lower tier. So it probably holds closer to 3,500?MillwallFan said:

What i don't get is why the segregation is even needed? I could understand it if it was a bowl stadium with home fans in the same part, but your away end is a totally separate stand. Surely the segregation can just be stewards/police standing in between each stand. And whilst i get it with the lower tier, you not selling the end blocks of the upper tier is just bizarre, what are fans going to do, jump from the upper tier into the home end?

Some of those away followings are pitiful. And i don't even mean the long trips like Middlesbrough or Blackburn as that's probably understandable. Why did you only take 391 to Leeds? 791 to Norwich? 1k to Portsmouth?Woodwork said:

You’ll have good away crowds for the first season. If you manage to stay up this season and spend a few seasons at that level (unlikely I know 😉) yours will start to dwindle as well. I’m sure if we could pay on the day at some of these northern away games it would add a few more on the numbers. Back in the day I would quite often decide to do an away game at the last minute. The night before or even the morning of the game, we’d go straight from a night out sometimes. We don’t have that option anymore which is daft.1 -
Some of the millwall boys are very bouncy - remember that bloke who bounced in a rage for about 5 minutes - the feeling is that due to the bounce factor, normal stewarding / segregation cannot be deployed - if enough bouncers were agitated at the same time u could end up with them launching into the away end en masse so bounce proof netting has to be erected at twice the normal quantity - it’s hoped that a reduction in class A drugs, energy drinks and pie and mash might reduce bouncing levels and enable the stand to achieve capacity but it’s a long way off atm.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

I did not realise there were such restrictions for your away tickets, that is not acceptable.

I remember an away win at Blackburn 2-0 before their ground was redeveloped and we were house in an old covered end. German and myself took young Lee (RIP) under our wings leaving the ground celebrating. It was also notable for a youung Carl Leaburn being one of the scorers.
As an aside we got pally with some Blackburn who we'd looked after at the Valley a few years earlier. One had long greasy hair and a snotty nose but wore what my mum would have called a "sports jacket".. his mates nicknamed him Smoothy .-)0 -

And the EFL dicking around with timings for televised games and making quite a few of them 12.30 now isn't going to help either.1 -

When I go to a midweek game, I often look at the away end and think "how are that lot going to get home" ?
Bearing in mind that I come on the train now (from Ramsgate) because I'm inclined to fall asleep driving any distance late at night, and we have to park "miles away now" too, I can only just get home and that's going via London Bridge (last train down from there is 22.43) so I get home about 1am.
So how do those away fans manage ?, unlikely on the train that time of night and having to go through London, Ok coaches, but 600+ fans means 12 coaches minimum, and I rarely see anything like that many parked by the away exit when I leave, a few will drive but then again there's the parking problem.1 -

To be fair, Millwall’s away support last season represented just over 7% ratio of the average number of home fans at The Den. That’s a good ratio. Not amazing, but not awful either. It’s about the average across the EFL. Especially when you factor in the fact that all Millwall away games are all ticket & members only, the northern nature of the division last season, & that Millwall have played nine consecutive seasons of Championship football.
