  • Birmingham have got a surfeit of strikers and would surely be prepared to let one or two go.

Let's get Alfie May back :-)

And Kahiem hits the onion bag!
    Da boy a real killa

It is interesting he's ahead of Mothersille. Mothersille looks a far more complete player to me.

Not good enough for the championship imo (if that wasn't a joke)

Wonder if we’ll tap into Jamaica again. A Jamaican journalist I follow has suggested Richard King (CB, playing today) could be Championship level, would think he’d be relatively cheap as he’s still playing in the JPL

Not seen him play but  Yousef Salech, 6'5" only 23, better than one in three for Cardiff in level two, who have gone down to L1.

Jones will love working with him!
  • This is more of a wish list sort of option, but I saw a thing in X saying Luton had bid for this guy from America, had a look at his stats and honestly think he’d be an excellent option for us to replace Aneke (hopefully would be able to play longer). Not a rumour but I would think worth a look.

Luton already had a 3M bid rejected doubt we have the money to spend on one player

Rumours threads are like Japanese pixelated porn. You open it up, hoping to see some action, but leave pretty soon, knowing you''ve just spent 30 minutes in front of your PC, yet walk away frustrated and underwhelmed.  :/
    Bit niche

Really interesting player but I think out of our price range. Absolutely rapid , got the physical side to go with it but can be inconsistent as a finisher.

Would expect to see him in the Championship but I think Charlotte will want too much for us.

I have always said buy the best CF you can afford and play to his strengths.
If he costs £3 to £4m I would suggest that is money well spent if Jones wants him.
We need a striker who can score goals in the championship and I can’t see it costing less. In fact if he fits the bill he is a bargain.

He’s not prolific but Jerry Yates might be a decent option. Works his nuts off and got 10 in 42 for a poor Derby side.

Will likely be available from Swansea.

Wrexham trying to sign Ben Davies. Mental. 100k a week at Spurs, surely they can't match his wages.

If a player like Ben Davies is on 100k a week then the world surely has gone mad.
agreed - no chance he's on even half of that

I’m sure Leaburn will go so we’ll generate some cash but I  expect a tight ship on outlays.
With the last 2 seasons Leaburn has had, he's not going anywhere.

The club simply won't accept a small bid for him and his injury record over the last 2 seasons will not command any bids big enough for the club to sell. I'll be amazed if anybody even comes in for him let alone puts more than about £1m on the table which I just don't see the club accepting.
Apart from the Wycombe game, he looked like a right carthorse for most of his appearances last season. No chance anybody puts in a bid for him that would be worth accepting.

Few more hours till the window opens. How long do we leave it before we start panicking we haven't signed anyone?

There is a person on another forum that might get a line on this before too long.
Not now big mouth Charlie is out
I think the person we both are talking about has very good and reliable links to Cardiff City.

Terry Taylor injured for months following an ankle injury so we won’t be able to get him off the books until January at least.

I wonder if there could be circumstances where we lose Small and Campbell, but they are replaced by Rak Saki and Offiah.
Maths does support the possible existence of parallel universes.
There’s a parallel universe alright. In one you’re Millwall, in the other, you’re Charlton.

It’s reported that Liverpool have set a price tag of £45m for Joe Gomez. What was our sell on %?
20% so 9M if he goes for 45M
Not to be picky but I remember seeing a tweet from Cawley saying the figure was over 20% (without specifying the exact figure) but that was based on the profit made on Gomez not the whole fee.
    Correct.

Ben Davies on less than £50k a week at Tottenham? Behave. He signed for them in 2014 and then signed a new 5 year contract in 2019. By all accounts he was on about £100k a week when he left, which is about par for the course for a player at a club for over 10 years that qualifies for Europe pretty much every season
