TC is worth at least 5 million, easily.
Anything below would be a liberty with the money in football and his potential etc.
I wouldn't even be happy if we sold him for that as we wouldn't be able to get a player of his talent for a similar fee.
He's our next big money sale, and I think he and the club know it. Expect him to start a lot next season.10 -

This is always a fantasy though. We always dream of selling a player for big money and using that money to get a top class team in - sell for £6m and buy 6 £1m players! - but it never happens. We'll get a bit of money to spend on a replacement who almost certainly won't be as good and will need time to adapt to the style and the rest of the fee will go towards running costs. Marketable - Yes, very marketable
Skillful - Yes, both footed and pace
Ceiling - Very high. Just had breakthrough year
Age - Right side of 20, potential sell-on
When you factor those 4 things, add that he's already made 100+ professional appearances and that he is from a club that has a good track record with youth, he is worth 5 million easily, and I think that's downplaying his fee potential.
Clubs are paying for potential a lot of the time, and I'd argue there wasn't many players with a higher ceiling than TC in league 1 last season. One good season in the Champ, and he's worth 10-15 million.
I've said before he has a lot of similarities to Lookman in ability, the way they strike the ball, their movement, their stature and their demeanour. It would not surprise me one bit if our TC ends up playing top European football in the next 5 years like Lookman is.

Agreed with everything you said until the last bit. Lookman was standing out in the championship as a teenager, he’s on another planet to TC who will be 22 a month into next season. TC will hopefully make a very good championship player but I can’t see him getting further than bottom end of the Prem at best. Tyreece managed 7 goals and 1 assist this season, admittedly in double the games, but you can't say for sure he would have kept up those goals, plenty of players drop off.
There's no doubt Lookman looked more talented, but he didn't have a crazy goal return or anything like that. Everton paid for potential, which is what I see TC as right now.
I've also said before, TC is about 2 years behind Lookman, doesn't mean he can't catch up to him.

Lookman came into a team and club in chaos on and off the field, he was a teenager and was good enough to stand out as one of our best players at a level TC hasn’t even played at yet. I think if you chucked TC into that environment he’d be more likely to sink than swim.Braziliance said:

As I said previously, it's a fine balance between building a suitable squad for the new challenge and stick or twisting on your assets.

I think we get carried away when our academy players break into the first team. TC is very much a work in progress yes has potential but without a big step up will not be a starter next season I don’t think1

Letting Alexander-Arnold go early has nothing to do with any other deals. They aren't even playing so it gets a wage off the book, the extra money is just "we would happily have kept him until June to spite Real Madrid of it wasn't for the compensation" money.MartinCAFC said:
