Alfie Doughty? Not sure of his situation at Luton. Savage and Wing at Reading? Carlton Morris too.As I said don’t know their situation but think they’d be decent0

TC is worth at least 5 million, easily.
Anything below would be a liberty with the money in football and his potential etc.
I wouldn't even be happy if we sold him for that as we wouldn't be able to get a player of his talent for a similar fee.
He's our next big money sale, and I think he and the club know it. Expect him to start a lot next season.10 -

ShootersHillGuru said:Garrymanilow said:We do have to remember though that it's only because of TC that we ever properly found our groove. There is nothing more important to our team than the pace and width that the likes of TC and Small force. It might be one thing to sell TC but we would have to replace him with a lightning fast winger/striker with the physical strength to hold the ball, the ability to finish chances and the strength to get kicked and keep going. Those don't commonly exist so we'd probably have to make one ourselves. That's what we did with TC; he put the work in over the summer to build his physique and then spent pre-season and the league matches that followed figuring out the striker role before being allowed to pull wider and working out how to link up better with his wingback, developing his far-post finishing and helping us develop a whole new dimension to our play. Realistically are there people we can afford to sign who can offer all that, and assuming not do we have time in the Championship to take a winger from someone else and try and turn him into the next TC starting from scratch? Easier to do that when you're playing the likes of Burton and Northampton not Leicester and Sheffield United. I think we'd be mad to sell him whatever the fee0

There is a rumour that Gomez might be going to Bayer Leverkusen. The sell on clause would be very welcome. Knowing our luck, he is probably out of contract.9
-
Just to add a bit more to the TC thing and how a football club will probably think looking at him.
Marketable - Yes, very marketable
Skillful - Yes, both footed and pace
Ceiling - Very high. Just had breakthrough year
Age - Right side of 20, potential sell-on
When you factor those 4 things, add that he's already made 100+ professional appearances and that he is from a club that has a good track record with youth, he is worth 5 million easily, and I think that's downplaying his fee potential.
Clubs are paying for potential a lot of the time, and I'd argue there wasn't many players with a higher ceiling than TC in league 1 last season. One good season in the Champ, and he's worth 10-15 million.
I've said before he has a lot of similarities to Lookman in ability, the way they strike the ball, their movement, their stature and their demeanour. It would not surprise me one bit if our TC ends up playing top European football in the next 5 years like Lookman is.

It probably depends on money.
Maybe you think Offiah and Rak Saki are definite Premiership players next season.0 -

Lookman made 25 appearances in our relegation season 15/16, and scored 5 goals in that time. I'd back TC to score 5 goals in 25 appearances in the champ.
The following year when we sold him, he made 21 appearances and scored 5 and got 2 assists.
Tyreece managed 7 goals and 1 assist this season, admittedly in double the games, but you can't say for sure he would have kept up those goals, plenty of players drop off.
There's no doubt Lookman looked more talented, but he didn't have a crazy goal return or anything like that. Everton paid for potential, which is what I see TC as right now.
I've also said before, TC is about 2 years behind Lookman, doesn't mean he can't catch up to him.

NabySarr said:Even if TC doesn’t start the season well he shouldn’t be written off (though based on this thread he probably will). He’s easily going to develop into a player that can play at that level, why sell him before he’s reached that potential?
Remember. Jones is ruthless and he didn't hesitate to move May on when the rest of us were scratching our heads. I just picked up on a few comments where Jones has been bigging him up massively.
As I said previously, it's a fine balance between building a suitable squad for the new challenge and stick or twisting on your assets.
In Jones we trust1 -

Even back then Lookman's potential as a quality winger wasn't in much doubt, was more about how high he can go.3 - Sponsored links:

I think we get carried away when our academy players break into the first team. TC is very much a work in progress yes has potential but without a big step up will not be a starter next season I don’t think1

Do I want him to go, absolutely not. I don't think he will for that matter unless we get a really top end offer but I'm not completely ruling it out.0 -

Agree on the likes of Gilbey, Kirk, Lavelle etc anyone that hasn’t been above that level before should probably be ignored now1 -
Gomez has two years of a five year deal remaining. Expires Summer 20275

Yeah mbick especially needs regular first team football at a lower level to push on. Great physical presence but looked a bit lost after getting into good positions.1
