My bar is a shambles here in Spain for the Premier League games. Don’t give a fuck, I’m wankered. Get innnnnnnnnnnnnnn!

Didn't see this coming in the autumn. Remarkable transformation in the final two thirds of the season. Really pleased for the club, players and supporters after 5 years of League One mediocrity. All credit to Jones and Fleming for building a promotion team with the players they had.

We look solid in defence. Mannion reliable in goal. But serious reinforcements will be needed to avoid coming straight back to this lamentable level.

Having said that, I'd put money on Jones (and Fleming) being able to keep us in the Championship with slender resources.
Might be a bit too early to start dissecting the team, but it's the midfield which is our weakest point. And even if we keep Small, we'd need 1-2 wingers, and a new striker.

I'd happily keep the defence and goalkeeper as is.

Yeah midfield would be my main concern, fine with Coventry but major doubts about Doc and Berry. Anderson will be an interesting one , would need to tidy up a lot of his game but a strong summer and he could really blossom. An attacking midfielder would be top of my list.
Yes the team has really lacked someone whose got the composure, ball carrying and creativity in midfield, which has led to, let's face it, some pretty turgid football at times.

Our success has been completely built on a solid defence, a couple of lads who can dribble down the flanks, and a fox in the box. Whenever we came up against high quality full backs, we've struggled to create.

So happy we've made it to the championship, need a few key players to keep us there though.

Wouldn't mind us relieving them of Galbraith next season and playing him in his actual position 10.
He'll have his pick of clubs to choose from I'd say

I get the feeling that Nathan likes Fuller and Kai Enselin and both  be part of a 22 man squad

Would go after Currie….good left back !
A certain element of the support (me) would, however, have to call him Edwina...

Was a tough watch. Don’t think we had an effort on target except for the goal but that doesn’t matter.

They wanted to win but we needed to… and we did.

Well on the day the best team didn’t win , but who cares. Once again our defence saved us. The Championship awaits!

On about 65 minutes, an Orient player made a run down the left. Gilbert was on him, but gave up chasing him back. I thought to myself, NJ won't like that! Sure enough, Gilbert was hooked a few short minutes later.

Not a classic but a fabulous defensive performance from us yet again. Three play-off ties, three clean sheets.

    That's why we're Championship!

A lot of empty seats in the Orient end, including a few whole blocks in the upper tier. Meanwhile our end was packed throughout. We must have had at least 10k more fans then them. A testament to the relative size of the two clubs.

As an aside if anyone on here knows a lady called Chantel and is currently with her, get her to contact family! She was last seen behind the stadium about 45 mins ago
Sounds like one of the old personal adds in the newspaper!

Well done Charlton and well done you lot there...

We had 3 on target, they only one. I would dispute that the best team didn’t win (in the pundits’ eyes), it did!

There was practically a whole row of empty seats near me. About 12 £90 seats which a season ticket holder had obviously purchased, but only one person was sat there.

Not sure if the only guy there bought 12 seats with the intention of selling the other 11 and wasn't able to, or if a lot of people just pissed almost a grand down the toilet and didn't arrive.

It's often the case of what you do out of possession that wins you games, and that's what happened today, great all round performance, and big shout out for the defence today, but huge CHEERS for Macca and that stunning free kick...

Without doubt the most unpleasant Charlton game I’ve ever watched. Couldn’t go because of work which was pretty disastrous in itself, but managed to wangle a window to watch the game with a Birmingham fan.
We did it. The overriding emotion is relief. Thank goodness we’re out of that pub league.
Hopefully the American owner hugging Jones and the players means a brighter future.
Chapple. Gavin Carter. And above all, Nathan Jones.
