Simple question- when are they on sale and how will be notified. Putting on the website tge 2019 details very misleading
Simple response : nobody knows
BUT my logic says to check the SM pages for updates (if you dont want to read through this thread), the club wont just decide to release 40000 tickets and not inform anyone.
If it is 4 per person for every ST holder, does that means there is a fair chance it won’t make general sale? Only been to a few games this season so the usual panic is setting in even though I was insisting to people just earlier this week that everyone who wanted one would get one….had no problem getting a ticket for last night and I’m just a member with history etc.
Very doubtful , especially if they offer us 50k +
Out of interest, will we be buying tickets through the club website? I despise Ticketmaster and the like, but seeing the disaster that ensued over the past fortnight, it might be a safer bet?
If we sold 50k, that would be the largest Addicks crowd since…..?
We had a home crowd of 56.000 in 1958 for the Blackburn promotion decider. It’s anyone’s guess how many Blackburn were there, but I doubt it was five figures.
All very large crowds for clubs who don’t get them regularly will include large numbers of extras. Whitstable took 8,000 to Wembley last week, I believe. You can’t tell me they were all previously supporters.

Ok good. I’m basically just looking for people to tell me all will be OK.
Looks like you have to pay for entry into boxpark - has that always been the case? Was there in 2019 but can't remember paying.
£10 no ?
You could pay £10 for early bird to guarantee entry before 11am I think it was then. I definitely remember paying and getting there when it was basically empty 😬

Remember. Not all season ticket holders will buy or need four extra tickets.
“The O's have been allocated 36,945 seats in the East end of Wembley Stadium. Tickets will be sold on a block-by-block basis in an order determined by Wembley Stadium.”
Given the amount of hospitality it’s doubtful we’ll be able to have as many as 52,000 eventually based on that (and accepting some hospitality could be counted).

52,000 maximum I have heard, although not all up front.
Surely this is a case of adding 2+2 and getting 5? With Orient being offered 37,000, the EFL wouldn't offer us ALL of the rest. They will be holding plenty back for the great and the good who have zero interest in Charlton or Orient, just prawn sandwiches and alcohol.
My guess is that our initial allocation will be the same as Orient.

I think Orient took 23k to Wembley for their league one final in 2014, they will probably do around the same this time.
I reckon they'll get near to 30k as a lot of West Ham will want to go.
Why did a lot of West Ham not go in 2014 then? Personally i can't see them selling more than 25-27k.
I don't really think anyone has to worry about getting a ticket given that we will almost certainly end up with 40-45k if we want them.
I think a lot of West Ham will go, no idea what happened over a decade ago but I reckon they’ll sell ~30k this time.
Either way you’re right though, any Charlton fan who wants a ticket will get one as well probably have more than we need.
I guess a London derby final v Charlton will probably attract more casual fans on their side, some West ham etc, as last time they got to Wembley they played Rotherham.
There is your answer then, the ICF have history with Rotherham so must have bottled it............

How does selling them Block by Block work?
Normally at Wembley it means not relasing the upper tier, or the upper tier gantry side until the demand has been shown to be there

If they only sell 25,000 that will mean several blocks will be kept completely empty and could be released for sale to us or the public.

The public? Are we letting in the great unwashed as well?

Unlikely to be 4 per season ticket holder I guess
Has been in the past with zero issue. Unless all ST holders take up a full allocation and all bring 3 non st holders there will be plenty.

I agree. I wasn’t basing it on the number Orient have. It was information from elsewhere, but unofficial.

... but let yourself down with the last two words and detaching yourself from all known laws that govern the workings of the universe.
Good point.
We have high standards
And yet will Charlie be there?
