NJ pleased with TTs loan spell and will discuss his future with him after the season has finished.

I read that as having no real indication either way, but I think he's more likely to move on permanently, despite NJ talking about TT being a good player.5 -
FLW so take with a pinch of salt but apparently Coventry want TT. Would be a bizarre move as no way he starts for them

Fine, we'll reluctantly take £3m for him Coventry. You're getting a bargain, but consider the discount a thanks for Godden.fenaddick said:FLW so take with a pinch of salt but apparently Coventry want TT. Would be a bizarre move as no way he starts for them

Do we need to thank them for Todd Kane?DyerConsequences said:

His agent has done well there. I’m guessing that’s the source and FLW are the only media silly enough to put it out there. A team pushing for the premier league is not going to buy what is a decent league 1 midfielder with a bit of potentialfenaddick said:FLW so take with a pinch of salt but apparently Coventry want TT. I think he will probably move on, but should he return, he will be like a new signing.Scoham said:NJ pleased with TTs loan spell and will discuss his future with him after the season has finished.

Is that the third time he's had a serious ankle injury?0

No mention of his ankle issue but that’s no surprise from Football League Worldhttps://footballleagueworld.co.uk/terry-taylor-tipped-for-chartlon-transfer-after-northampton-spell/

That's a shame. Surgery that stopped him having a proper preseason is what completely derailed his first season with us and he didn't look like he could catch up at all before he got hurt again. That means he's had a serious ankle injury in each of the last three seasons which isn't going to help him finding a new club. Poor guy, he's a good playerCallumcafc said:https://www.northamptonchron.co.uk/sport/football/nolan-plans-talks-with-terry-taylor-after-serious-injury-blow-for-charlton-athletic-midfielder-5155035Bad ankle injury in the last game of the season - probably won’t be going anywhere this summer12 -
I listen to the 'high Performance' podcast by Jake Humphreys and Professor Damian Hughes and Callum Wilson was on there recently and I didn't know he came back from two ACL injuries plus he decided to talk about the dysfunctional childhood he had where he contemplated suicide because of the complete mess in his home life where he had to go into care at times as a lad. He said his Mother's bad choice in men was a constant factor.
Wilson would work on the programme he was set as he tried to get fit from 10 until 4 after each bad injury.
He said you don't want to see your team mates at times as they are happy and enjoining training where other than the physio or other injured players you feel out the group because you don't want to burden them with your struggles.
I have never seen players as commodities and feel gutted for Terry Taylor who is having a tough time and I'm sure he is being supported by Dr Will Abbot and head physiotherapist, Adam Coe as well as Tracey Leaburn who cares about the players just like she does for son Miles.
We have some excellent people working at CAFC.

A 'fan pundit' who misses off he is out injured or at least not included in the piece!shirty5 said:No mention of his ankle issue but that’s no surprise from Football League Worldhttps://footballleagueworld.co.uk/terry-taylor-tipped-for-chartlon-transfer-after-northampton-spell/0 -
Shame for him because he probably needs to move on and now he’s stranded at a club that he knows he probably doesn’t have a future with and spending his time in rehabilitation. He won’t feel part of anything that’s been achieved this past season and may not even know many of the players or staff that well. Poor lad.4

Shooters is probably right but only a few weeks ago, Jones was praising Taylor surprisingly highly, so he may yet get a chance. i hope so, as he is a positive player and (usually) delivers free kicks very well.2

In the Championship? Surely not.thewolfboy said:Shooters is probably right but only a few weeks ago, Jones was praising Taylor surprisingly highly, so he may yet get a chance. i hope so, as he is a positive player and (usually) delivers free kicks very well.0 -
Not what we need. We lack an energetic fetch and carry 8 and a creative Gilbert-like-but-better 10se9addick said:

With Chuks released who is taking over that long term treatment table next to TT ?Callumcafc said:https://www.northamptonchron.co.uk/sport/football/nolan-plans-talks-with-terry-taylor-after-serious-injury-blow-for-charlton-athletic-midfielder-5155035Bad ankle injury in the last game of the season - probably won’t be going anywhere this summer

Someone please have a look at his free kick against O’s in the pizza trophy.thewolfboy said:Shooters is probably right but only a few weeks ago, Jones was praising Taylor surprisingly highly, so he may yet get a chance. i hope so, as he is a positive player and (usually) delivers free kicks very well.He shouldn’t be anywhere near a Championship first 11.1 -

He's made next to no impact for us in League One and yet he should have a chance in the Championship, ridiculousValiantphil said:

Not so long ago loads were slagging off Jones for not giving him a proper chance. How things change! Do think there is a player there at league 1 level. I think his ship has sailed now at Charlton.Wish him the best when he does eventually go.2

Will be like a new signing once he is out the treatment room3

Last season, Coventry got a 1 match ban for 5 yellow cards.
TT came in as the natural successor, and played pretty well. Not as mobile as CC, but decent dead ball delivery.
So, Nathan played them both as a double pivot. Looked OK, but nothing special.
Then came Crawley at home...
Now, I'm not saying that Taylor played any worse than anybody else, but...
After he was substituted, Conor looked a 100% better player. The difference was do marked, it looked like a different player came on.
And NJ never tried it again. And Coventry became player's player of the year.5 -

I’ve already posted this, but my friend is a Northampton fan and said he transformed their season, and they really like him. Whether they’ve got the money to buy him or pay his wages or wait for him to return from injury, I have no idea.3

I don’t think anyone is denying Coventry is better . But Taylor seemed to pay for one bad game, whereas others got away with a lot in that spell. Anyway , it all worked out pretty well .. !SteveACS said:Last season, Coventry got a 1 match ban for 5 yellow cards.

Such rotten luck, the last game of the season but perhaps his ankle needed a proper long-term fix........ I'm sure he'll get excellent care and tlc from the club which will give him the best chance to get his career back on track.
All the best to him, he's always been a genuine player for us.2 -
