Proper Charlton is Chris1
-
Yes but is Charlton proper Charlton ?2
-
Met him a few times, Chris is a lovely bloke, great to have him back albeit briefly.3
-
Honestly the club is a face - whoever gave Dangerfield the job given his non league cv presumably because he was cheap needs shooting0
-
Chris is a top man.2
-
Even better, when Chris “retired” Sandgaard hadn’t even advertised the job, so he carried on until Dangermouse was appointed. Mick E “retired” about two and a half years ago. He’s still there.alburyaddick said:Honestly the club is a face - whoever gave Dangerfield the job given his non league cv presumably because he was cheap needs shooting

I feel like these long term roles that Chris and Mick have occupied should have had a deputy beneath/alongside them. Someone effectively on a long term apprenticeship who could then take over when those guys retired with minimal disruption.
Of course there's no guarantee someone would be happy to play second fiddle for years on end, and for all I now there may actually have been deputy under them but it doesn't seem so.0 -
Common sense - it will never take offCAFCTrev said:I feel like these long term roles that Chris and Mick have occupied should have had a deputy beneath/alongside them. Someone effectively on a long term apprenticeship who could then take over when those guys retired with minimal disruption.

@henry_irving if there are any more of those Irish badges left, I’d love to get one for my sons birthday present and I can make a donation to the museum.Henry Irving said:
We have about 10 of the badges, if you want one, @KBslittlesis I'll pass it on to big brother next time I see him.KBslittlesis said:

Er…a third would be appreciated. I expect you’ll be keeping one yourself too with your Tyrone roots now 😉 ☘️guinnessaddick said:

He doesn’t seem to stick around anywhere too long, does he?0
-
But can he fit a kitchen corner cabinet door on a cold and wet Tuesday night in Stoke?9
-
Will be handy to have, if we need a new kitchen at the training ground.1
-
Well, as he's only just arrived, he clearly hasn't honed his skills with us. So that's his excellent written and verbal communication skills down the pan.....
BTW in this context he means oral not verbal.... (awaits appearance of Kenneth Williams).
PS The bogs for Club 1905 could do with a refurb if his skills stretch that far.
