They could be on the beach in April though, and Poku will probably be more concerned about his next contract than Peterborough by that pointOh Eddie Youds... said:Better off playing them in March. Not all players are like Lyle Taylor.NabySarr said:

How likely is this going to get postponed?0

He’s already back . Was on the bench on Saturday and came on with twenty minutes to go .Oh Eddie Youds... said:Better off playing them in March. Their best player Poku will be back if we reschedule for late April (& he makes massive a difference for them)0 -
All depends on if Coventry gets an Ireland call up I would guess.JustFloydRoad said:How likely is this going to get postponed?1 -

Just as likely as it was when people discussed it over the previous 3 pages I would imagine! 😀9 -
More likely than not I am lead to understand. Which is a pain as it would be our only away game this season and we are £200 in for trains, coaches and hotels...JustFloydRoad said:How likely is this going to get postponed?
Still, I should have worked out it might be off; just got overexcited when we booked our break. 😏

Would rather the game went ahead, as if postponed we would have to play at the end of April due to Peterbrough fixture back log.1

By which time it's likely that Peterborough will be safe from relegation and have nothing to play for. Plus if they have a backlog then they might be rotating and giving minutes to reserve players or a few kids in prep for next season.Dansk_Red said:Would rather the game went ahead, as if postponed we would have to play at the end of April due to Peterbrough fixture back log.8 -
Last nights atmosphere, imo, didn’t really get going as it should have, obviously not helped by the football on the pitch and the layout of the stand and corners we were in. But there’s another aspect to playing away (from London) on an evening match as opposed to a Saturday afternoon match and that’s by 3pm on a Saturday the fans have had plenty of time to get to the game and are well watered, the atmosphere in the away end has got going before the game has started and has had time to draw everyone in and become coordinated. For night games, a lot of fans will more or less have got to the ground, at the last minute if they stop for a pint, and the atmosphere is sporadic and uncoordinated.
Not postponing this match should be a priority over not having a key player or two missing. The fans at this stage are definitely the 12th man and if the away fans are loud and noisy it usually shuts up the home fans at the same time.1 -
But what if Coventry and Anderson are unavailable? We will have no choice but to call it off .letthegoodtimesroll said:Last nights atmosphere, imo, didn’t really get going as it should have, obviously not helped by the football on the pitch and the layout of the stand and corners we were in. For one game, a midfield of having both Berry and Gilbert on the pitch at the same time if there was no Coventry available wouldn’t be the end of the world and could do the same job, only from two different places at the same time.0 -
We would then only have one potential midfield option on the bench and only be playing one defensive midfielder against the really pacey Pboro attack. It would be a massive risk. As you point out, we might have no choice in the matter but it would be far from idealletthegoodtimesroll said:Bedsaddick said:

England U20 squad announced tomorrow so (barring injury replacement, we'll know about him soon enough). No idea when Jamaica or Ireland announce but Jason Knight (who Coventry replaced last time out) is fit and playing1

Got the Sierra Leone squad to think about as well, with Daniel Kanufenaddick said:England U20 squad announced tomorrow so (barring injury replacement, we'll know about him soon enough). Jones is playing with injections and needs a break so a postponement might be beneficial to us, for others too.
Crazy how the divisions with the smaller squads play the most games.9 -
Think if he went we could play on, not sure he has gone for a while eitherForeverAddickted said:

Just thinking if he got called up, along with Anderson and Dixon, it would qualify for us to get the game called off with three Call-Ups usually being enough - He was called up when Sierra Leone had Internationals in October, but wasnt for their November gamesfenaddick said:

Looks like Peterborough also have the potential for 3 players called up, including their captain Kyprianou so may well get called off their end1
-
They had one game called off in September but one of those players now plays with Zach Mitchell at St Johnstone. Their forum thinks it seems unlikely they will get enough call upsfollett said:Looks like Peterborough also have the potential for 3 players called up, including their captain Kyprianou so may well get called off their end3 -
And yet, somehow we soldier on without our managers crying...Ferryman said:Jones is playing with injections and needs a break so a postponement might be beneficial to us, for others too.

Peterborough fans at work reckon it'll be off. Not sure if it's based off anything but hopefully not.0
-
When would the rearranged game be? Looking at Peterborough's fixtures, it seems like the only Tuesdays after the break they're not already playing would be:
15th April (but they're playing in the 'vertu' final on the Sunday)
22nd April (but there's a full set of games on Monday 21st)
29th April
Which would make it the penultimate game of the season for us wedged in between Wrexham and Burton - not sure if that's a good or bad thing!1 -
Think Peterborough also have to rearrange their game against Mansfield postponed because of Wembley trip0
-
This plus Nathan basically said Josh is running on fumes so if we could effectively have a two week break that could be beneficial. Imagine if we played it and then Jones had to miss a couple of games later on that could be very detrimental to us. I understand about momentum but no point in risking key players if we don’t have to.Ferryman said:Jones is playing with injections and needs a break so a postponement might be beneficial to us, for others too.

We’ve a few players that are running on empty and other players like Jones who have knocks, so a postponement would be beneficial, but not for the fan’s who have got tickets.1
