BBC sport is showing 9 of the 12 league one fixtures going ahead still. Normally it’s only 1 or 2 matches which play in our division during international weekend. Plenty of teams are still waiting to find out if there matches are going to be postponed.
I hope we still pack it out even if it ends up being on a Tuesday. If it was Liverpool away in the cup we would, this game is far more important and we should be turning up regardless.
Teams worked hard and deserves a packed Valley and packed away end every game for the rest of the season. 👍🏻
If it gets rearranged to the penultimate game of the season and it’s a nice spring evening there’s no reason it doesn’t stay sold out/sell out again. Crawley stayed sold out on a Tuesday night

Crawley is only 30 miles away and convenient for an after work away match

Sure but Peterborough is an (relatively) easy journey too, 1 change on a train from SE7 and direct trains from King’s Cross. Obviously it’s further than Crawley but it’s not like we’re talking about going to Exeter or Barnsley

England U20s announced at 2pm so we’ll know about Small then, and Ireland are releasing their squad in 20 mins (but have trailed that former loanee James Abankwah has been called up). Jamaica seem to announce at random as do Sierra Leone.
damn it, 2 tickets for Peterborough for sale - was hoping for a postponement as off to Ireland v Bulgaria on Peterborough weekend haha
We are still likely to have Dixon, Kanu and Anderson called up and maybe Small too.
The thing with Dixon for me is he doesn't play for us, so Steve McLaren may look at that and think why should I call him up, I wouldn't say Dixon is a definitely getting a call up like some assume, now he has left Jamaica and come to England there might be someone else playing regular first team football in Jamaica getting a call up.
But even if he does get called up I still reckon we should play it.
ATM we are pretty injury free other than AMB and the issue with Jones(but he can be taken out for a game we have cover, it would be a miss but we have cover)
The risk you take is call the game off then when it gets played we are in bad form or have 3/4 injuries and wished we had just played it when only Anderson would have missed the game.

Dixon and Kanu are not going to play anyway.
And Josh Edwards, who has had an issue for a couple of weeks now.

Jones is probably the one player who absolutely cannot be replaced, why take him out for a game when there is potential of a week off for him?
The players are looking shattered, the week off is needed and NJ will jump at the chance to postpone, as he should.
The risk of injuries is far higher if the players are run into the ground.

I would agree but we also have to consider when the rearranged game would actually be played. Looking at Peterborough’s schedule their only free midweek slot is the last week of the season, this would be fine, but they also have a game against Mansfield to rearrange. If we are guaranteed that last week slot then it makes sense to postpone, but if not we could be forcing ourselves into playing Sat-Tue-Thur-Sun which is far riskier for injuries and dropping points than playing Peterborough on the original date
The other option is to move Easter weekend fixtures to Saturday and Tuesday night. So Peterborough can play midweek after their cup final. But I think moving Easter games will not be a popular decision with any fans
If they are that knackered Nathan should get them on a plane Saturday night/Sunday morning and jet them off to somewhere sunny for 5 days and bring them back just before the next game. A change of scenery and some sunshine will recharge the batteries no end.

Just seen they’re playing their “home” game v Switzerland at the Marbella Football Centre, where we watched one of Holden’s pre-season games last year.
Small could be called up if drop outs of course which always happens ..
all depends on drop outs and Kanu maybe being called up by Sierra Leone but it’s impossible to find out when them (and Jamaica). I guess Josh Laq could also be called up by Fiji

Jamaica announcement is meant to be tomorrow (14th).
