Assume Taylor is eligible to play for them against us later in the season (mid-April)?
You'd hope not... as that would just be stupid
It's a loan so he's not allowed to play against his parents club by the EFL
Cheers... I wasnt sure if it was a League wide rule, or whether it was dependant on the terms of the agreement between the two clubs - Makes sense, but always be funny if it gets to matchday and the parent club suddenly realise that they forgot to add it in

I suspect that might be one of the reasons Peterborough signed Edun permanently and effectively brought up his contract rather than loan him.

We were probably keen on that too, would quite like to have Tayo Edun ‘defending’ against us
Getting some really positive reviews by Northampton fans. Happy for him.
He's played every minute of every game he's played since he's been there so far.

Still don't see us bringing in a better player than him, and still think he could have helped us here, especially with so many games to go.
He bagged an assist against Huddersfield yesterday.
Bit of a dodgy assist though tbh, watched it and he basically just launched the ball up the pitch in a bit of a hit and hope and Tom Eaves did all the hard work.
To be honest it feels like a good loan all round so far. Some players are good but don't fit in with the manager's style and its suits everyone to make a fresh start. I don't think Taylor did much wrong but we haven't missed him at all since he went and he's showing what he can do at Northampton. Hopefully he builds his profile enough that someone is willing to pay a decent amount of money for him and we can reinvest that in players that suit us better

The real litmus test is how we cope if/when Coventry is suspended or injured. TT is the most natural replacement we had in the squad.
Heard from someone who works at another club (not Northampton) that we wanted 100% of Taylor’s wages paid, so they believe it’s likely Northampton are paying 80-100%.
A Northampton fan has said they believe they’ve missed out on targets to high paying L2 clubs, so it seems believable that they’re paying most or all of Taylor’s wages.
One of them has said there have been L2 signings this month in which players are being paid around £5k - that gives a good idea just how much is being spent at they level, never mind in L1.
Surely there aren't many league 2 clubs paying players 5k a week?
Maybe Salford who have their famous owners and just had a lucrative cup tie at Man City, but who else?
After watching an episode about Salford and the class of 92 only last night unless their keeper and captain back in December 24 was lying, his quote after a losing run and just before Robinson's appointment and a 5-1 home defeat was:
"If we get relegated I'm in trouble as I have a mortgage and two young kids and a wife to support"
No way he was anywhere near 250k a year and it was the opposite of the Wrexham Hollywood story.

We don't miss him now, no. However I think we'll miss him in a couple of matches time if we get an injury in midfield and Coventry gets that tenth yellow card.
But there's no real point in keeping him around on a decent wedge just for that scenario.
He's been at Wolves, Grimsby, Burton and Northampton as well as us, I reckon he's more settled in the Midlands overall, and expect to see him sold in the summer. Shame because I really rated him but sometimes it happens where a player and a manager just don't click

Undoubtedly, but apparently he wanted to play more and there's a balance to be struck between having an unhappy player around the place who will only get a game if Coventry is unavailable and having high quality back-up. If Coventry stays fit and we are maybe without him for one or two games I don't think Taylor would have been happy to stay for that level of cameo. If it's just a couple of games then Anderson or Docherty can fill in hopefully without us suffering. Time will tell

We finished on Saturday with Gilbert playing alongside Docherty in the middle, and he did a good job defensively in added time, so he's an option too for certain situations.

Northampton fans seem generally pleased with their midfield improvement between Taylor and Shaw.

Still counts though
