We should definitely be tracking their keeper for the summer, thought he was absolutely brilliant last night5

Won't be cheap as under contract at WBA but worth a cheeky bid you'd think as he'd only be sitting on their benchYannTheMann said:We should definitely be tracking their keeper for the summer, thought he was absolutely brilliant last night1 -
Probably a situation where you're hoping WBA go up and sign experienced competition for Alex Palmer.fenaddick said:

I'd rate Griffiths as a better keeper than their current No2 Joe Wildsmith though.0 -
He had a great game last night yes, but then so did Mannion last season away at Cambridge. Would need to see far more of him than just one game.YannTheMann said:We should definitely be tracking their keeper for the summer, thought he was absolutely brilliant last night7 -
I think the difficulty this window is bringing in better. Of course a creative midfielder would be brilliant but who is he? Maybe there is a premier league loan but if we keep what we have and don't lose any key players that would be ok for me. I would like to see a pacey wide man like CBT, just as cover for what has been a key part of our recent success.2

The next 5 days are crucial...again...🙄0

There's probably more rumours on the jellied-eel thread....11

Lol, Burnley, they will be back in the Premier League soon, Leaburn is not a Premier League playerTheAddicks4Ever said:“Meth-man” saying we are bringing in a couple of attacking players…is this to replace Leaburn being sold
I wonder where he will go ?
Burnley ? They need a goal scorer !2 -
Is that a reference to Jamie Jellis who we're meant to be looking at?0

Completely agree we are an injury to TC or Small away from being in deep trouble. If we don't sign anybody, I would like to see Nathan bring in Enslin and Dixon to the first team. I would prefer new signings but I get the impression that they both may be nearly ready to come on from the bench.MuttleyCAFC said:I think the difficulty this window is bringing in better. I'd probably take Small signing a long term deal and nothing else after Jones signing.
Not sure we'll get a decent 'no 10' in the next 2 days9 -
I believe Zach Mitchell played in the U21 5-1 win at Ipswich yesterday afternoon.1

Bristol Rovers looked a very poor side, but I thought Isaac Hutchinson looked a very accomplished attacking midfielder. Played some lovely through balls, and had good ball carrying ability. The profile of midfielder we really need.11

I am really pleased to hear that. He's an ex-pupil of mine and he seems to be making slow and steady progress in his career. I'm hoping he will eventually play at a higher level.L0rd_M0ntagu3 said:Bristol Rovers looked a very poor side, but I thought Isaac Hutchinson looked a very accomplished attacking midfielder. Agreed but he has many plaudits this season, has been highly rated for a long time at WBA, he's also been a number 1 at a few clubs in loans now as opposed to Mannion who was highly rated in his youth but barely broke the bench at a not great Cambridge sideMartinCAFC said:

I remember seeing him play at The Valley for another of his loan sides and was impressed then too. Not saying we should rush out and buy him now but should have someone watch him regularly for the rest of the season. I doubt he’d renew his contract at WBA so would be on a free in the summer but with a number of suitors I’d assume.YannTheMann said:

I’m proud of us all for specifically not reposting a made up journo Twitter account that is clearly on a wind up today with multiple nonsense rumours.6

Is Roger Rose back on the scene with more nonsense?0 -
So his mid term school report would read " Shows promise but could do better"...😉captainbob said:

The key bit from Methven's podcast:
We’re seeing some players leave the club. At the same time, there is the aim to bring a couple more varied attacking options in.
Whereas Gerry Adams mentioned "tweaking".

I'm sure we will sign at least 1 before the window 'SLAMS' shut, but have we ever had a window where we haven't signed anyone at all?1

Middlesbrough midfielder Alex Gilbert in talks to join Charlton on loan.

Not particularly exciting as a name, not made a huge amount of appearances and name is far too close to Alex Gilbey for my liking, in fact the latter is influencing more of my opinion than anything else here, happy to see how he gets on though. Didnt know what to expect from Josh and he's obviously been greatclive said:Middlesbrough midfielder Alex Gilbert in talks to join Charlton on loan.

Can't say I know much about him , seems like Boro had to pay substantial compensation to sign him from Brentford and he's been in and around Boros squad without being a regular.0
-
He was Brentford B’s Player of the Year before Boro bought him for a million pound, obviously means f**k all in comparison to the first team but hopefully means he has something about him and at least he’s actually an attacking midfielder, not someone who can PLAY as one6

"Middlesbrough are prepared to let Daniel Barlaser leave this month. Derby and an unnamed League One club have made an enquiry. Defender Matt Clarke is also on Derby’s radar while fellow Boro midfielder Alex Gilbert could now depart on loan. #boro #dcfc"
Replaced Finn Azaz in their last game in the 81st minute. General consensus seems to be that he needs game time and that's he rated.
Could be a bit of a sleeper signing for us. If he's good enough to be part of the match day squad for Boro, he's probably good enough to be part of ours.2
