Moxon plus a ball playing creative CM/CAM would work for me.
Still think we need another player with pace. Maybe the attacking player we get could be one that can play as a CAM and also in TC’s role
  • Think the need for a LCB has diminished a bit now Ramsay is back. It means Edwards at LCB is more of a viable option

Pacey winger and a quality 10. Good luck finding them with £12.50

We can spend as much money as the owners want to put in. 7 days in which they can show their ambition.......or they can spend next season losing another £10m. Their choice.

The midfielder is still likely to happen, the club frustrated it hasn't happened yet. It is all on the other club getting player in.
Appreciate you can’t say who the player is, but is it a loan or a perm? Cheers

Typical game of Transfer dominos then, always the case in January

Hey if it means having to do biz this way to bring in a decent player then I'm all for it. Fed up with the mediocre signings of recent times which are always a waste of money.

    Very little being given away

Hopefully not, he’s more of a DM isn’t he?
  • The midfield is lacking someone who can break down a defence with a killer pass. Is Moxon that individual?

I wouldn't have said so personally, he'd be more of an upgrade (hopefully!) or replacement for Campbell who can hopefully then be sent back and never mentioned again.

  • I would assume Moxon is a loan anyway, would be surprised if Pompey sold him after under a year.

    Obligatory YouTube comp
  • If we bring in a midfield player they ought to be clearly better than 20 year old Harvey Kedwell, or 17 year old Ibrahim Fullah. Or Ryan Huke or Kai Enslin.
  • Pompey have been playing Marlon Pack at CB , but have just announced an Aussie CB , could free up Pack to go back into Midfield and allow us to sign Moxon.
  • I do find it strange that Enslin hasn't been included on the bench for a league game, he did so well in the trophy game and we currently have no wide options on the bench. Weird.
Think (like Dixon) it must be a mixture of physicality and a plan to not overwhelm youth players with too much too soon. Like Josh Laq and Dixon he has travelled with the squad to away games a couple of times, been involved where possible and then dropped back into the U21s. Feels like a pattern that suggests a plan to me

Well that's good news all around!
Do you have any names for the midfielder, or any idea who it could be other than moxon?
  • Back to square one on championship midfielders then... Marcus Mcguane would be another Doc/Cov competition signing not a Berry replacement. If it's a permanent it's got to be someone that's nowhere near a starting 11.
