I'm no fan of Scott but see little point getting rid of him with one week left of the window. Give it a month or two, slowly take away things of importance and then let him go and replace straight away so that the new guy can plan for the summer

Might as well get rid and save the weeks wages. I am not sure what he even does, I think they have already taken away things of importance.

Well in theory he will be the one negotiating deals for whoever Jones has identified/anyone leaving right? Would be odd to suddenly replace that person mid negotiation
It's time for Scott, Charlieboy, and Rodwell to go. The 'owners' need to get in an experienced DoF and back him and Jones in January! The 3 mentioned above are nicking a living and screwing up at every turn!
Said it from the first second they got here that they were chancers, they've done nothing since to prove otherwise. I got the same vibe from them that I got from Matt Southall and his cronies.
I actually want to hear from the real owners now. As I want to hear what their plans are from their own mouth, and I want to know how they were so naive to get people involved who fail so very frequently within the football world.
Perhaps Carter can shed some light on plans, afterall, as I understand it, he's not part of the SMT, but a minority owner and an actual supporter. However I'd be happy to see the end of the current SMT ASAP.

But what has he been doing for the last 9 months? Jones had autonomy on signings didn't he? Scott as far as I'm aware was just mediating. Really doesn't sound a great loss if true. Wouldn't actually be surprised if he left weeks ago

Thought Rodwell said he did the negotiating in the fans meeting thing last week. I remember thinking at the time "what does that leave for Scott to do?".

I didn’t watch so you could well be right, certainly opens up your question

We're 26 days into the window and we've made no signings and i can't imagine the players we've let go needed much negotiating.
I agree that it would be an odd time to let him go, as you'd expect to do it before or after the window, not during it, but if he is going then it's really not going to be much of a loss.

Andy Scott has been a major let down. I thought with his CV and football network over decades he would help to bring better players to the club replacing inferior ones.
Managed to move on Charlie Kirk at a cost but why didn't he do more to keep Dobson who was the heartbeat of CAFC ?
Andy Scott comments about Michael Appleton being the best at the interview, didn't seem to take Into consideration his personality which failed to connect with fans even when we won a game !
Scott should've been a giant leap forward after the Amateur Sandgaard Junior; for some reason despite some decent signings, plus poor ones we are still a stuttering mid table team who can beat Birmingham and get stuffed by Rotherham.
Look 😀 since the highly strung taffy Nathan Jones took over Scott's authority seems to have diminished and the incoming Luton players were on NJ recommendation.
I have an omelette on my face as I thought Andy Scott would push this club forward with his experience in so many aspects of the running of a professional football club.

Immediately would be quite an interesting one timing wise although it would show NJ holds all the cards recruitment wise.

As you are the person ITK, what does Scott do?

Laughable if it was not so serious.
