I haven’t lost faith in Ahadme think there is something there needs better service but always gives a lot of effort and doesn’t hide
As a professional footballer you should most definitely give a lot of effort and not hide. The rest of his stats are unacceptable and he doesn't look quick, or strong, or a great passer of the ball and his heading is not as good as it should be.
He's a striker, that doesn't strike.
I'm almost more concerned about his poor "target man" play than the lack of goals, as he's not dominant in the air and is too easily bullied by defenders.
A good target man striker can create chances or at least space for other players around him. Carl Leaburn was great at that, Emile Heskey was Michael Owen's favourite strike partner.
Interestingly I think late in January can be a good time to sign a player. Many have only have six months left on a contract , so clubs might be prepared to offload without a fee.
There is no way we could have afforded Jonny Williams , but ( despite the rivalry) Palace gifted him to us. He was instrumental at Wembley in the Play off Final. More recently the Hammers sold Conor Coventry to us on the promise of a resale clause.

The complaint about lack of loans and the idea about them 'blocking our academy products' are two sides of the same coin; yes we were lucky with Cullen/Bielik/Gallagher/JRS but we have been subjected to an absolute shower of Tedic/Watson/Davies/Smith x14 who have taken up space (even just on the training pitch). The idea isn't to just recruit crap players, the idea is they will bring something to the team; very much doubt Chris Powell would intentionally try to stitch us up when he personally drove Nile John to us and showed him around the training ground saying he is a good player.
These players have unfortunately not been able to take the chance presented to them. When we have been down to the bare bones and had to chuck untested youth players in, some have failed (Tuna etc) and some have been great - Doherty being recalled from non-league Bromley, Lucas Ness from his loan at Torquay etc. Showed real promise and looked like they could add to the squad, but would never have been anywhere near the team if there were some random loans in there. Even Barker did a job and now is with an EFL club.
Loans work if they are clearly researched and scouted, if we do not have that profile of player within the academy and ultimately if they could take the step up. Chucking them in too early can damage players development (Karlan Grant).
Also, we were ecstatic to get Ladapo on loan; proven goal scorer, physical presence and then he turned out to be a dud too. Not an exact science this scouting (Maddison being a stand out at Peterborough, terrible for us). A Campbell looked good: 26, played at the level above, known (and trusted) by the manager, but it hasn't worked out. Can see why Luton allegedly never included a call back clause so unfortunately think we're stuck with him.
Hoping we can find the next Cullen/Bielik/Gallagher AND have space for them if we don't already have them in our academy!
Feels ridiculous really that Luton havent just recalled Allan Campbell, I presume we cant do it, else we may have done given his lack of minutes.
But he's got Scottish clubs "apparently" interested in his signature, and now he's not even on the bench for us this afternoon... Instead we opt for just the one "natural" Midfielder as backup in Anderson.

Yeah I mean after the Taylor and Edun deals too it's very obvious we need someone in there, and probably 2 if Campbell goes

Even more surprised with a new manager in Bloomfield, unless he doesn't rate him either. Recall would leave us needing 2 CMs which might be a bit dangerous.

Luton are bad enough without taking A. Campbell back.

I doubt they care. He isn't a star youngster they're nurturing.

Months ago we should have sent him to train with U18s to force him to demand a move.
Told a championship midfielder permanent and a loan
Let's hope an attacking midfielder who passes the height test. May make the playoffs then barring injuries as this has been the main missing piece since the before the start of the season imo
My good friend has advised me that Jamie Jellis will be signing for us.
20 starts for league leaders Walsall. On track to get a champions medal in 4 months + @DOUCHER has literally just told us that the player we are signing is coming from the championship!

I know it was never happening in a million years he'd join us but Ali Al-Hamadi has gone to Stoke on loan.

I believe there are deals that can be done
