I didn’t know about Flamini which is more the kind of thing Iwas thinking about. He has managed to turn big money into huge money. I suppose that I was thinking of a kind of Trump or Musk figure but who uses their power for good. If Flamini ran for president of France and then had a major influence to break the power of oil companies- that’s the sort of thing.

Yes. Very cool. Footballers are the only normal people who have the potential power because real power these days comes from money -democracy is a lie.

Footballers suddenly becoming cartel busting leaders of the free world after they hang up their boots is significantly less likely than Charlton being promoted this season. Just let them enjoy their money instead of being disappointed that they don’t suddenly morph into titans of revolutionary politics and commerce once they retire, it’s ridiculous.2 -
