Potentially a problem, and a game could not be staged if any more batteries died.

Hope so as it looked very dark todayshirty5 said:0 -
When does VAR kick in for the Cup? Not expecting a glorious march to Wembley, only a Bauer goal, but no doubt all contingency plans are being put in place should we prevail.0

Only at grounds with it already installed.shirty5 said:Rock Spectacle said:When does VAR kick in for the Cup? Not expecting a glorious march to Wembley, only a Bauer goal, but no doubt all contingency plans are being put in place should we prevail.
The club might be breaking EFL rules if those areas drop below 300 LUX, plus if we do get promoted, it would fail the standards for the Championship, as it needs to be bright enough for Goal line tech.
as @Henry Irving has said,
the existing system is knackered and you can’t get the lights anymore, so it’ll need a completely new system installed, which can be done in three weeks, but will more likely be done in the summer

As would our squad…I wouldn’t therefore worry too much ! 🙂Rothko said:

This could be NJ's rallying call. Get in the top 6, we could get new light bulbs10
-
We’re now doing half and half floodlights, don’t you know.shirty5 said:Leas than half working there. Do the club not have a maintenance person in employment anymore?

On the basis that voiced issues here get resolved, could I please earn $50k more per annum. Thanks in advance Gavin.6

Has anyone tried eBay or Amazon for that bulbs?1

Can the club afford to wait until the summer? There's still 3 midweek home games between now and the end of the season. The area of the six yard box to the right of the goal at the Covered End looked really dark and wouldn't surprise me if it's borderline regulation as you mentioned.Rothko said:

They don't want to pay the postage.Solidgone said:Has anyone tried eBay or Amazon for that bulbs?0 -
Bulbs? Can’t grow grass properly on that pitch, only Nathan Jones would want daffodils.🌼Solidgone said:Has anyone tried eBay or Amazon for that bulbs?4 -
Ebay?Henry Irving said:Problem is the lights are so old that its really hard to find replacement bulbs.
Thanks Tony Keohane
All the lights need to be replaced with LED lights to meet higher league requirements.0 -
If they were all replaced with LEDs would we end up having one of those pre match light shows 😂0

Posted on the pitch thread, but will ask the same question here.
Who is responsible for the general upkeep of the stadium? We are after all tenants.
If you were renting a house with knackered plumbing and electrics the landlord would be expected to sort it out.
If that is the case here, then I would say there is bugger all chance of getting things fixed as Roland won't be spending a penny on us.0 -
It will be stipulated in the lease. It's most likely the clubs responsibility as it will be a commercial lease, not residential.Clem_Snide said:Posted on the pitch thread, but will ask the same question here.

On a slightly different tack, what must opposition fans (and indeed players) think of our club overall if we can't offer proper lighting for the game.
Surely our 'mega-rich' owners can afford to replace the faulty lights? Or perhaps the SMT hasn't told them?
It really is a bad reflection on us in my opinion.4 -
Or you can’t get those lights anymore as they were discontinued a while ago, as the industry has moved to LED. The intention is to completely replace the lot in the summer I believeRedmidland said:On a slightly different tack, what must opposition fans (and indeed players) think of our club overall if we can't offer proper lighting for the game.

@Rothko ah OK mate I didn't know we were looking to do a full replacement. Mind you it begs the question, if we can't get replacements now, what on earth will happen if a few more fail? Would we have to call games off until it's light enough to play the whole game without floodlights?Rothko said:

Don't think they have a choice now then to do a full replacement, they would have to anyway in the Championship as the lighting requirements keep increasing as more games are shown in UHD for example. Millwall LED replacement was to get to that level.Redmidland said:

If the bulbs had been maintained in the past 10 years then we could get away with it for a bit longer.
I suspect they'll get some temporary lighting in for that corner in the coming weeks, before the full replacement2 -
On commercial leases the lessee is responsible for maintenance and up keep mate not the freeholderClem_Snide said:Posted on the pitch thread, but will ask the same question here.

Yes - it will be a full repairing (and insurance) lease.

Why don’t we all just put our phone lights on and aim them at the pitch, will create a sense of togetherness amongst fans

You'll read in the next home preview on the OS, "please ensure you have 100% battery on your phones before entering the stadium".oohaahmortimer said:Why don’t we all just put our phone lights on and aim them at the pitch, will create a sense of togetherness amongst fans5 -
I’m guessing it’s not possible to swap the current bulbs around ie so that every other one is working rather than have four/ five/ six in a row not working?3

Someone at the club needs to answer this, or we’re being kept in the dark?Weegie Addick said:I’m guessing it’s not possible to swap the current bulbs around ie so that every other one is working rather than have four/ five/ six in a row not working?12 -
