Even though he’s 14 in the live rankings now, he may be leapfrogged by Ugo Humbert or Karen Khachanov and be forced to settle for 15.
He’s the fourth highest ranked player under the age of 25 behind only Sinner, Alcaraz and Rune.Hopefully a solid (and healthy) start to the 2025 season means Jack can enter the Australian Open in January as a top 16 seed.4 -

Cam Norrie is coming back for the ASB Classic in Auckland in January. He has been runner up on 2 occasions out of eight attempts. He has slipped to 57 following a long lay off.0

After a pretty disastrous season Cameron Norrie is in the final of the Moselle Open and back in the top 50 in the rankings.3

Emma Raducanu is back in Auckland for the 2025 ASB Classic. Ranked 57 in world rankings Emma will face American Robin Montgomery (117) in the first round.
Kiwi Lulu Sun (40) will play Rebecca Marino (102) and could potentially play Emma in the quarter final.
Coco Gauff has elected not to defend her title and will play a tournament in Perth instead prior to the Australian Open. Top seed for the ASB Madison Keys (21) opens her campaign against Italian Lucia Bronzetti (73). Naomi Osaka will face a qualifier and Sloane Steven’s and Sofia Kenin also have favourable draws.
The tournament starts tomorrow.2 -

Emma won’t be playing Lulu Sun in the quarterfinal. Lulu was sent packing in the first round. Naomi Osaka won in straight sets.0

Unfortunately ongoing back issues have caused Emma to withdraw from the Auckland tournament. Really disappointed. This was to have been her third tilt at the championship.0
-
The British flag in the round of 16 will be in the hands of Tara Moore and Jodie Burrage.
Tara has a career high of 145 in singles and 77 doubles. Our best bet may be Jodie Burrage who was ranked 84 in the singles last year and 147 in doubles.1 -

Hoping her new conditioning coach will help reduce her injuries0 -
Jodie Burrage lost to the American Hailey Baptiste in a 3 set thriller 5-7, 7-6, 7-6 in the round of 16.0

Norrie through to the QF in Hong Kong and Fearnley through to the SF in the Challenger at Canberra. Fearnley up to 85 in the rankings.3

A pleasing number of male British players now, the legacy of Murray I guess. Dan Evans is now British No 5, having been overtaken by Fearnley and Billy Harris1
-
Disappointing defeat for Fearnley in the Semis at Canberra. Interesting to see if he can make the step up to the main tour this year after doing well in Challenger events.
I wonder how much longer Dan Evans will go on given how far he has dropped in the rankings.1 -
Norrie loses in the QF in Hong Kong to Nishikori who seems to be resurrecting his tennis career.1
-
Cameron Norrie faces F Diaz, Argentina, in the ASB Classic tonight UK time. Diaz is ranked 47 in the world and won the 2024 Argentine Open.0
-
Evans out of qualifying for the Australian Open. A tough year ahead for him.0
