Brilliant result for Jack. Solidifying his place in the top 20 now. Another deep tournament run and he might find himself top 10 by the year end.
Live ranking of 14 now
Unfortunately was beaten in the round of 16 by Alex de Minaur who got revenge for the US Open straight sets defeat.
Even though he’s 14 in the live rankings now, he may be leapfrogged by Ugo Humbert or Karen Khachanov and be forced to settle for 15.
He’s the fourth highest ranked player under the age of 25 behind only Sinner, Alcaraz and Rune.
As Ugo Humbert reached the Paris Masters final, he jumps above Draper in the world rankings. Still impressive to end the season at a career high of 15.
Hopefully a solid (and healthy) start to the 2025 season means Jack can enter the Australian Open in January as a top 16 seed.

Hope I’m wrong but don’t see Draper being a contender in slams just yet. Think he is good enough but he struggles a bit over 5 sets and to win a slam probably means having to win several 5 setters back to back. Hopefully he will strengthen over the next couple of years with more experience
Cam Norrie is coming back for the ASB Classic in Auckland in January. He has been runner up on 2 occasions out of eight attempts. He has slipped to 57 following a long lay off.

Not sure about that. It really depends on how good you are. Having been a grand slam semi finalist already, without dropping a set until losing to the world no. 1, arguably shows he is a contender already.

I would have thought Nick Kyrgios would win the ASB every time, hands down.
Emma Raducanu is back in Auckland for the 2025 ASB Classic. Ranked 57 in world rankings Emma will face American Robin Montgomery (117) in the first round.
Kiwi Lulu Sun (40) will play Rebecca Marino (102) and could potentially play Emma in the quarter final.
Coco Gauff has elected not to defend her title and will play a tournament in Perth instead prior to the Australian Open. Top seed for the ASB Madison Keys (21) opens her campaign against Italian Lucia Bronzetti (73). Naomi Osaka will face a qualifier and Sloane Steven’s and Sofia Kenin also have favourable draws.
Unfortunately ongoing back issues have caused Emma to withdraw from the Auckland tournament. Really disappointed. This was to have been her third tilt at the championship.
The British flag in the round of 16 will be in the hands of Tara Moore and Jodie Burrage.
Tara has a career high of 145 in singles and 77 doubles. Our best bet may be Jodie Burrage who was ranked 84 in the singles last year and 147 in doubles.

Amazing how injury prone she is.
Sadly the case for some athletes - we've had, indeed have our share.
Hoping her new conditioning coach will help reduce her injuries
A pleasing number of male British players now, the legacy of Murray I guess. Dan Evans is now British No 5, having been overtaken by Fearnley and Billy Harris
Disappointing defeat for Fearnley in the Semis at Canberra. Interesting to see if he can make the step up to the main tour this year after doing well in Challenger events.
I wonder how much longer Dan Evans will go on given how far he has dropped in the rankings.
