Well that was a great 9 minute spell, imagine what he can do over 90! But seriously, he looks very tasty  :)

I quickly googled his market value and 3 came up straight away....... £300-500k, £650k and £750k........ so maybe we'll start at £250k and they'll counter with £800k......?

    Here's hoping.....

  • My mate is a (insert club name) fan and says he's good

Their fans on twitter say he's crap.

It's 2 January and Burton have signed 8 players already; why are our lot doing nothing?

Good we've signed a player in that position but we need a striker, that should have been the priority.

Signing a (insert position) means (insert current player in that position) is as good as sold.

Player X threw his shirt into the crowd after the game/applauded all the home areas when he was substituted/isn't in the 18 today due to "illness". He's off.
  • You was told when Jones joined he wanted the title of manager not head coach... He wanted full say who joined and who left the club..... He is in charge of recruitment the players we sign and the players we release or sell.….. Scott and Rodwell do the talking to the player agent and club concerning transfer fee, contracts, agent fees and signing on fees, bonuses etc
Says the person who repeatedly said that CM would have no role at the club whilst all the time he was CEO.

256 new posts and not one actual rumour.

    🗣️Oh yes there is.

Or were you playing transfer bingo 🤔😁
  • By Notts County you mean the 27 year old 😂

Way off, mate - oldest professional club in the world.
  • We sign a "highly rated" player for £600k. A year later they're being loaned out after they flop.

Peterborough sign a "highly rated" player for £600k. 18 months later he's sold to Brentford for £5m plus a 20% sell on clause.
Not sure it's gone quite as well for Peterborough this season mind!
  • The way we're playing at the moment Crowley could work in the same role as Berry. Berry has had a lot of space to pick passes since we changed our shape instead of just being expected to pop up on the end of every cutback and loose ball outside the opposition box and that would suit Crowley. The one concern I do have though is a fair few of the goals we've conceded from outside the box this season have had Berry making a fairly half-hearted attempt at closing down the player shooting. Berry is meant to be a decent combination of a creative player with determination and an engine to let him help out defensively and we still struggle there, if Crowley comes in and offers similar or less I'd worry a little on turnovers
And like Berry, Crowley is also a passenger when the team is out of possession. Near where near a £400k valuation imo.
  • Need some wide players who can stretch play, like CBT used to do and T Campbell did well at yesterday.
Campbell was playing as a striker not winger... We are not playing wingers in this system

Prefer Aasgard to Crowley, more potential and bigger. Both seeing out contracts, minimal fee.  Of the three, Berry has worst press but goals, assists may get a fee from Champ side.
  • I'd sign 2 wingers if that's the way we're playing, as Dixon needs time to adjust and Small is a wingback played out of position, he's doing well but it's not a long term fix IMO. Then you have TC, 2 more wingers and you move Hylton to the coaching room permanently, and sell Edun and loan out Asiimwe to make the room.

When fit you have Edwards, Small, Ramsay, Watson and then TC, New W, New W and Dixon/Leaburn/Kanu/A WB as the emergency 4th choice winger, and Leaburn, Godden, Ahadme, Kanu and Aneke as the strikers.

Then you sign a 10 to compete/replace Berry, Docherty, Coventry, Anderson, Taylor, Campbell as the midfielders.

    All a pipedream anyway

Aasgard will go to the Championship, he’s very highly rated and we’re not Ipswich or Birmingham unfortunately.
  • Sorry to burst your bubbles but looking at Jones's comments about the January window, the only incoming will be a keeper and I think it's something they have been working on for a while. As for outgoings, loans only as nobody will be bashing on our door to sign permanents.
  • Not sold on Crowley, feels similar to the business we've done over the last few seasons.

It would be so us if just as we start to get hopeful this season we see Leaburn, Jones and Small exit in January!!! And then listen to the SMT tell us that the replacements we have lined up strengthen us 😂

The departures could be as interesting as the incomings.

who particularly do you mean by this?

We still aren’t playing with wingers though. It’s a bit of a hybrid formation but defensively it’s still a back 5. What we need is an attacking right wing back option, so then we’ve got the balance of having one attacking and one defensive option on each side (once Ramsay is back)

A 10 with a bit of pace/dribbling ability would be ideal, one that could maybe do a job out wide if we did switch to wingers in-game

And a new LCB. Probably tricky to find as good left footed defenders aren’t easy to find in a January window

Those 3 positions strengthened and I’d be very happy. Goalkeeper would be even better but I think that will be one for the summer
  • Is Terry Taylor injured or out of favour?
Either way he will be like a new signing when he returns.

Im glad there was at least one more opportunity to roll that one out.

Out of favour. He’s a good player on the ball but just doesn’t do enough without the ball for a Jones side. We tried to sell him in the summer, we need to shift players out and I wouldn’t be surprised if we are listening to offers again

  • I like TT as a player but I don't think he's ever going to be a Nathan Jones player. Wouldn't be surprised if there's plenty of interest in him though.

If he was fit I would have expected him at least off the bench in the last 2 games
  • I wouldn’t put it past them, just like CBT, Dobson and May. We’re be told it’s to invest in the team and we’ll end up buying another donkey from Ipswich.
Don't be daft it'll be from Luton
  • Watching Wimbledon vs Gills at the moment. Jayden Clarke looks a useful player
  • That would be so Charlton, moving Taylor on just as he’s fit and showing decent form for the first time in 18 months. Best set piece taker at the club and still young enough to improve a fair bit.
Would you rather keep Taylor and not be able to add an attacking midfielder? These are the kind of choices that will probably have to be made unfortunately

We will need to move players on if we are to bring players in. As we’ve seen, it’s not easy to get rid of bad players. So it’s going to be a lot easier to offload Taylor than it is the likes of Edun and Watson

Ex-Hendon. Started with us as a striker but can play as a 10 or either wide position. Very very nice fella.

Neufville could be a good option for an attacking RWB. Only 23 and looks a real threat going forwards
