    You can just see the confidence draining from the players, especially the youngsters. So many terrible first touches today that are examples of that. Jones doesn't appear to have any clue to how to address but I honestly believe a better manager could get a tune out of this squad.

    That is extraordinarily optimistic. I see a side in relegation form scrapping for 0-0s with no creativity and no forwards able to hit the target.

    Was almost disappointed we didn't concede in the first half from one of the many times our midfield was carved open and Mansfield sauntered into our box unchallenged. At least a defeat may have hastened NJ's departure but the 3 clowns who make up our senior management team aren't going to sack themselves too so they would only replace them with another useless git.

    Today was dire our midfield was non-existent - there's no build up play, TC is not a wing back, 3 CBs against an even weaker attack than ours is just wrong. Players who looked half decent earlier this season now look like they'd struggle to get in a Sunday park league team. Everything is going backwards and if something doesn't change soon we'll be sucked into a relegation battle.

    I am sure there are a few more Luton rejects he can pick up and give an unearned payday to.

    Just had a quick look at the stats and we weren’t caught offside once, that must be pretty rare but also shows either a lack of runners or we didn’t try to find them enough

    It is very frustrating watching us. There is either a lack of ability or a lack of confidence. Possibly both. I would say that we will probably stay up but relegation looks far more possible than promotion. It isn't the odd game we are frustrating, it is every game. Jones, this is not good enough and needs sorting.

    I also think that interview addressed or tried to address complaints about the style of play with Jones declaring 'we tried everything to be more expansive'. In todays starting eleven only three players that featured  were brought into the club by the present manager, one of those, Matt Godden, was replaced at half time. The squad was carrying players who Nathan Jones and Andy Scott knew would not be required at the start of the season but moving them on is easier said than done and one of those, on the outside, Terry Taylor has forced his way back into the reckoning, but with the knowledge of the size of the squad and it's need to be trimmed, why did the club sanction the signing of Potts and Hylton ? Individually both players have had a very good careers, but injuries, in Potts case and longevity in Hyltons case mean they were signings too far, along with the signing of Luke Berry and Allan Campbell it also leaves Nathan Jones open to the charge of 'signing my mates' which is a charge that is easily deflected if they were a rip roaring success, it's clear that they have been well short of that. The January window is almost here and it will be interesting to see who we move on, if possible, some of the young players need loans out of the club and also senior players such as Edun need game time elsewhere. Surely the club would be looking to pay up Chuks Aneke's contract if a deal can be agreed, it's also, in my opinion, maybe time to look at the players  who would not have a long term future at this club, Luke Berry, Matt Godden ? Once again mistakes have been made in the transfer market and this window those signings were led by Nathan Jones, it will be two interesting windows in January and the summer, the club needs to get it right otherwise we will be in this division for many years to come.
