I think Hart actually went before pre season and so Brayne was already in post when Cohen became available

Is Brayne not the Set Piece Coach though?

Fleming is Assistant Manager, and Hart (replaced by Cohen) the First Team Coach

Brayne does set pieces and first team stuff

You can see clearly why there is no flair just looking at the coaching team, they are all the same, all got beards.

Said this in one of my posts the other month. It can’t be underestimated how important Hart would’ve been to NJ.

Having your own assistant manager, someone who works so well with you and knows you well, especially when you’re as eccentric as NJ, plays a big part. I think he’s a man that needs guidance and to be the calm figure next to him. He’s probably an excellent coach but man management wise and having clarity is not what I see with him. I don’t think the current coaching set up pushes and challenges NJ enough and I don’t think he’s got someone he can really trust as a soundbite and reflect with, meaning he does it himself in his head and is why we get such conflicting information from him. Which is likely now translated onto the players too.

If they’re going to stick by him, they probably need to allow him to bring his own assistant that is going to do the things Hart did. Otherwise, I see this being over before he’s seen a year in charge.

Miles has gone backwards badly, which doesn't reflect well on Hylton's coaching impact 

Yeah but you can't deny the impact Big Danners has had on the pitch

I doubt its made any difference at all, seems like clutching at straws to suggest he would of made a difference. Everyone knows we need a creative mid, a wide player and a better striker.

Maybe Paul Hart would have pointed that out to Jones and being an older "mentor" he might have been listened to.

You're right that we need those players but in the meantime the manager has to work with what he has and he doesn't seem to even be doing that very well.

3 specialist coaches and 2 general and even then Jones had to push for Hylton to come in so we could have been down another. We're supposed to be a League one team with serious ambitions for promotion and surviving the next league up, is 5 really enough?

Imagine the fall blast, mad as a hatter, bad cop Jones- a good cop would be very beneficial for the players in that situation. If there are just a set of 'mini-me' Jones acolytes in assistant roles, nothing progresses. Shout out for some diversity in the coaching staff, an older wise head as Hart probably was!
