All it sounds like is longer term. Beyond that, we don't know. Maybe the club doesn't know for sure either.

On Charlton Live tonight it sounded he'll be out for months not weeks. That's not good.

Why is it always the good ones that seem to get these long term injuries? Whole new medical department and they're still dropping like flies. Cursed.

    Get well soon, Kayne.
True. Though in the spirit of fairness there's not a medical team in any division that could have stopped this particular instance from happening, so we just have to hope that our new look medical team do as well with Ramsay as they did with Leaburn.

Surprised no-one has tried to blame the new pitch yet

I blame the new pitch. There you go resolved that one for you.

It looked bad. The Stockport player didn't really touch him and there was instant agony on his face. Left back is less of an issue as I think we have two good options there where we might disagree who is the right one. As for right back, REG, for me, is the next option but there are question marks around him but Watson is a poor defender, is weak  and his only quality is he can play a good cross in IMO. Would love him to prove me wrong but I have seen a lot of him. I wonder if TC could be converted into a wing back. Probably not but he has bulked up since last season.

Armchair expert talking about Calafiori’s knee injury… movement VERY similar to what happened to Kayne so worth posting…

I've just noticed that Dr Will Abbott is special guest at the CAST AGM on November 28.

He would already have been a brilliant choice, as arguably our most important signing of the last year, and I hope CAST may consider live streaming it. But the latest crop of injuries add some complexity to the picture, whihc a couple of weeks ago looked like a story of night and day improvement.

To be fair the injury picture is still better than previous years. Godden had a minor injury but was back quickly, Aneke had a minor issue and the preview suggests he's back in contention 1 week later. The other injuries haven't been muscular so hard for him to do anything about. When they are muscular, they seem to be sorted relatively quickly.

As it’s the AGM, on this occasion it will be members only - but it’s only £5 to join. It will be online.

For those "in the know", what does a white heart emoji mean these days? I presume it's an illustration of hope?

White and Heart both have five letters.

    5 x 5 = 25

    Next year is 2025

So the message means he's out until January

Younger men use it as it's a seemingly less feminine emoji than the red one.
  • I heard 12 weeks out, whether that is correct is a diffrent matter, someone within the club said it but not from the medical side

    Looked more MCL to me

That is what I was told it was
  • If it is an MCL and the timeline is 12 weeks suggests it was a grade 3 MCL injury that may even have required surgery.

It's in everyone interest including the player for a statement to be put out on the Injury and possible timeline, to save Ramsey being asked the same question ad nauseam.
