Crazy things happening in India V NZ 1st test.
India won toss and decided to bat.
Another wicket 1st ball after lunch and India are 34/7 !
Latest: 40/8 as Matt Henry once of Kent takes 3 wickets in 6 balls.
Latest, Latest news: Henry 4/15 now sprints 40 metres to take a great catch and India 40/93 -
This is going to be one hell of an interesting day! Can we bowl them out for a total lead of 200 ish? If so, can we then win it? Enthralling viewing I feel.0

India 🤣2

India picked 3 spinners but all 9 wickets have gone to seamers. Not sure the pitch is going to break up inside the four sessions of this Test match.0

One thing that's changed about cricket over recent years is India are now so dominant in terms of money that I now find it every bit as funny when India have a collapse as when Australia do. Even a few years ago I'd barely have noticed, today I had a browser window open with the Cricinfo text updates while following England on the main one.3

India 46 all out and Matt Henry 5/15 and his 100th wicket in Test cricket.
India's lowest ever score in India.
Indian won the toss and decided to bat 🤦🏽♂️7 -

Leach gets a much needed wicket 77-4
Kamran LBW B Leach 260 -
Rizwan c Root B Carse 23
114/5 and Pakistan are still in the box seat but...0 -
Smith has dropped a sitter. Has to put it behind him but it is the easy drops that defines great keepers. Then Root does the same thing albeit he is closer, doesn't have the gloves and the ball is lower. Poor Carse the victim of both.0
-
I feel gutted for Carse after Smith drops a dolly and then Root drops a catch, 2 balls later which he normally takes.

Root is a terrible slipper. Shells so many1

Joe Root percentage rate of slip catches held are very high but the dropped catches are remembered where the held catches are soon forgotten.
The two dropped catches in one over have hit England hard at a crucial time.

Pakistan now 209 runs ahead at tea with 5 wickets in hand0
-
Meanwhile and for a bit of light relief, NZ, in response to India's 46 all out off 31.2 overs, are 82-1 off 21 overs0

The venom of the pitch seems to be seeping away slowly. Perhaps we're learning that the time to bowl spin on a Test pitch is between days 4 and 8, after which the pitch begins to flatten out again..?
It could be a belter in a couple of weeks' time.1 -
Now Pope is no longer Captain, we can start getting reviews right again.1

Leach with another LBW. 147-6 and a lead of 222.0

250 might be chaseable, any more and we're in trouble!0
-
Leach bowls Jamal with a quicker, fuller ball
150-7 and a lead of 2251 -
Noman caught by Stokes at slip off Bashir
156-8 and a lead of 2310 -
On a hat trick…
Ignore me. Are combined hat tricks a thing lol1 -
Bashir gets another left hander out
Now 4/46
156/8 and 231 ahead.1 -
Will have to be our biggest successful chase in Asia. Still think it’s possible if we avoid a collapse like in the first innings, big if though0
-
185-8 (50) and 260 ahead0
