I don’t know where to start in summarising this, so I’ll keep it short and sweet. We expected a reaction from the team after a disappointing run of results and even worse performances, but that wasn’t to be even against a club towards the bottom of the league going nowhere fast. We didn’t even have a shot on target in the first half. We made them look like a team on the rise by comparison. A consolation goal from Alex Mitchell proved meaningless (as did Charlton’s second from Matty Godden in added time, going in as I type this). Miles Leaburn made his return, but the damage was already done beforehand.

Not a whole lot to find solace in, though we were able to pull a little back on our goal difference. Tonight was an indictment of everything wrong at the club. The midfield let us down again; it isn’t good enough in defending and absolutely useless in possession.

    Pretty horrific result, now 3 losses on the trot with unbeaten Birmingham to come on Saturday.

    Because it ended 3-2 people will say it's not as bad as what it was. 

    No, it really was that bad. Major questions need to be asked about our season going forward.

    I thought we'd left performances like that in the past. How wrong I was. The goals at the end shouldn't paper over what was a dismal, miserable and painful showing. Bristol Rovers didn't even have to play well to score three against us. Once again, we only start to play when Ahadme is off and the 'finishers' are on. Rubbish.

    Complete rubbish. One of the worst performances I’ve seen in recent memory.

    We need wholesale changes to our tactical approach and I fear NJ isn’t willing to change his style of play.

    Unbelievably I'm starting to think Jones may well be gone by Christmas. 

    Tonight's  performance is as bad as It gets.

    Something has gone horribly wrong somewhere.  Its very strange how we've got so bad so quickly

    Reminds me of Dowie's last game at Wigan when we were utterly inept and 3-0 down, then got 2 late consolation goals. 

    It was embarrassing. We don't have a Plan A, nevermind a Plan B.

    We are worst than last season . No creativity whatsoever .  Jones is no better than Appleton on these showings.

    Even if Leaburn and Aneke don't play well they give defenders more to do than Ahadme and Campbell. Watson starting FFS! Has Jones lost the plot already?

    Reminded me of the playground in last 25, kick and run to your two best players bypassing the useless ones in between. Never been a fan of 532 and never will be. Abject for first 65 mins, most flattering 3-2 ever.
