Assuming that NJ will go with 2 forwards, 2 mids and 2 defenders for match day reserves, I am assuming that Kanu is the one who will be dropped.  Wonder how our fans will feel about that.
Kanu is supposed to be going out on loan

Hopefully to L2 and we get it done this week.  Anderson to go out now Campbell is in?

We do need some squad depth.  No matter how good our first team is , we won’t get away with no injuries all season.

October seems to be the current estimate.

Never heard of him until now. 43 games in a promoted championship side of 22/23 season is an impressive pedigree.

From an outside perspective playing for Millwall on loan under three managers it’s understandable why he probably didn’t play as much he would have wanted.
Also had three injuries at Millwall.
This is why he didn’t play much for Wall.
It shows that some post without knowing the facts 😀

Referring to the spanners as Wall:

It doesn’t even need to go to VAR.

It’s a lovely problem to have but I quite like the three CMs in Berry, Doc, and Coventry - with Anderson as a back up / sub.

Feel sorry for whoever he replaces but could maybe see Anderson falling further down the order or going out on a loan.

Four CMs isn't really enough when we start three and play 50+ games over the season.

Could even be argued we need one more so we have two per position.

I definitely agree we need depth but with Anderson, Kanu and Asiimwe we also have to consider their development. I don't think it's any good them getting the odd start and a handful of appearances off the bench, they need to be playing week in week out.

I don't know much about this Campbell but hopefully he gives us enough of that depth allowing Anderson to get weekly football elsewhere until at least January.

I suppose when you look at it like that - one injury only leaves you another injury away from serious problems.

If we are playing 3 central
midfield players , we have to have 5 available .  We can only have Anderson out on loan if Taylor stays

Yep though I'm hopeful our frequency and length of injuries will be reduced vs previous years with Will Abbott coming in, the training ground improvements etc so that'll be less of an issue.

Anderson as first back up for a whole season isn't good enough, in my opinion. Think it's right to bring someone more senior in.

It's a surprise they are loaning him out for the season when he's out of contract next summer but maybe there is an obligation to buy if we get promoted or some such.

If he’s out of contract then there’s no benefit to Luton if we sign him at the end of it.

It’s likely a loan because they just want some of his wages off the wage bill and couldn’t find him a permanent deal, probably because he’s not going to take a pay cut to move permanently. A bit like if we were to loan Fraser out now even though he’s out of contract, we’d still do it to save some money on his wages because a permanent deal is unlikely
