On that evidence I can see us winning quite a few games 1-0 this season.
I don't need to see Coventry take another corner. Finally got some big lumps in our team and his delivery was consistently atrocious.
And sod being an Orient fan and watching that all year. What a grotty, spoiling waste of a football team15 -

I never used to miss a home game and I can never remember Wiggins playing RB 🤔
Must've been a one off in an away game ?
Chris Solly playing left back on occasions and being restricted I can recall.0 -

Can’t wait to have the other eye done. 🙂1 -

But a wins a win and lots of these types will go the other way.
Bolton next ...let's put on a show.3 -

I got new glasses in June and was hoping that I would be able to read the lineups on the Big Screen, made no difference, I probally sit the furthest away in the NWQ, the text colouring does not help. Will get cataracts done in the nest year, so will see if that makes any difference.

It would just be our luck to finish 3rd, same number of points as 2nd but miss out on GD. Or worse, by goals scored.
Soon we will be tested (next week against Bolton ?) and when we go a goal down I'm hoping that we can respond. We didnt last Tuesday, but as that was a cup match and we are concentrating on the league it was glossed over a bit.
You may all love a clean sheet win but I much prefer knowing that if we do concede we have the firepower to not only scored one back but score 2 and win.
"When we go a goal down at Bolton".
No hope.10 -
Feel likes there’s lots of people saying “I don’t care if we play terribly and win 1-0 every game” then when we do just that they are still moaning18

Chris Solly playing left back on occasions and being restricted I can recall. He did in this game. Evina was left back. Did not work at all, Leon Cort came on for evina and rhoys went back to left back and Michael Morrison went to right back.0 - Sponsored links:

We kept five clean sheets in the entirety of last season, and now we've already kept two! The passive defenders have gone and the difference in the way we defend our box is like night and day. Got to be over the moon with that. If we can keep going and reach the magical 40-50% clean sheet mark then we'll be right up there.
Going forwards it was a hard watch - very hit and hope. I'm also not sure how well long balls will do against Santos next week but in Jones we trust. We seemed to wear Orient down and as they dropped back, the spaces opened up for us to play. But earlier in the game, every player looked isolated when in possession.
Kane Ramsey - outstanding.
As was Jones (again) and Mitchell, who didn't seem to put a foot wrong.
Set pieces were a bit disappointing, and Coventry's corner into the side netting was terrible.
But bloody hell, it felt good to walk out with a win.10 -

Whoever came up with that Luke Berry song needs a lifetime ban.9

I only saw the second half but we looked very comfortable and by far the better team. Compare to last season where it always felt like we were going to concede. Ramsay, Jones, Mitchell and Coventry were all very good. Gillesphey was solid too but I do feel we can improve on the LCH position. Really like Berry based on the cup game and what I saw of this one. Got a good engine, quality on the ball and gets into good goalscoring positions - he'll get a fair few for us if he stays fit.3

When I commented on a past player who has joined another club, I correctly, was told it was boring.
Thinking about it, mentioning ex-players who play for other clubs is not important to our season.
I intend not to mention any again and hope others will do the same 🤔0 - Sponsored links:

We might not go behind for another half a dozen games, but when we do (which WILL happen) I sincerely hope we have the oomph up front to bring us level.3 -

On to the game! A really enjoyable day out. Lovely weather, nice atmosphere, and 3 points to go with it.
I felt although we were fluffing chances, and our crossing was poor, we look so tough to beat, and honestly, after the crap served up these last few years, I'll take it. Not many teams will beat us I imagine.
Special mentions to Ramsay (motm) and Lloyd Jones, two very impressive performances from the pair. Also thought Coventry, Docherty, A.Mitchell, and of course, the match winner Berry, all had quietly good games, and looked fairly comfortable.
I like the look of newboy Gassan, reckon with a proper striker partner, he will be a problem, and I feel Mannion may be really decent business. He has the benefit of a good defence infront of him, but he looks very assured.
Roll on Bolton, which I feel is a real acid test for this team.
Happy Sunday addicks!
Against Birmingham I thought the team itself made a huge difference, and in turn made the playstyle worse. My concern was goals, and how Birmingham just looked a lot more clean cut than us, especially being a fairly new team as well.
With Orient, our closing down was much better imo, and we didn't look like we had many mistakes in us.
I usually just say how I feel on the day, and yesterday was a positive experience. I still think we are missing quality, and I am not sure we have enough to get promoted, but one thing seems for sure, we won't lose many.
If Jones is allowed to bolster this squad with a progressive centre back, a midfield maestro, and just in general bolster the team with a goalie, a forward etc, we could be right up there.

I'm always positive, just if I see something that doesn't look good, I'll say it. Need to show up in these next 3 games now, which are much harder tests imo.1 -

I was really excited to do the 5 for 5, been thinking of ideas like this all summer to keep the vlog ticking, unfortunately, I think the execution was a little poor. Audio and a weird camera angle, I need to start getting to the Valley earlier and making a real day of it!
I did, he looked solid, everytime he received the ball, he got himself out of trouble, or found a pass. His corners were woeful, but he had a decent game. I still think we are really missing a creative spark, someone who can just run past a man in the middle. We don't have anyone like that imo.0 -

Nothing wrong with a 1-0 win.
Curbs and the great Jimmy Seed both had their fair share of one nils.
