I think it does show why Jones likes the press and arguably it actually looks better/more effective against teams like Birmingham who want to try and play a bit but can't get momentum or rhythm going.sam3110 said:Is this the Birmingham that are winning the league?!

Berry sends the corner deep, it goes off a defender for another corner. That's taken short and their keeper palms it away and the ref blows up for something or other

Although not sure how the referee has given a FK for a foul on their Goalkeeper, Campbell was rightfully just standing his ground.2

Another loose pass from Brum, intercepted by Coventry I think? Kanu and REG pass it about, Anderson's cross is blocked for our corner. Small to take from the right.

The Valley could well be a fortress this year... Once again though feels like our season will mainly hinge on how we do against those teams who are happy to sit back against us.1

I don't think I've ever been more sure of anything than I was that TC would miss that penalty. Felt like bravado stepping up but should have been Kanu. I don't like it when crap penalty takers insist on taking them. We're playing quite well though, more aggressive and good off the ball movement. Coventry looks completely in control of the midfield which is nice to see.Just as I say this they score. Wonder if Mannion should have kept that out.1
