Season ticket renewal 2024/25

Yeah that's a major factor. In 09/10 in our first L1 season since PL relegation we had 10,000 season ticket holders, mainly because we still had some of the 'fans' from the PL days and the fan base still had a modicum of optimism that would eventually be eroded in the subsequent years of drab L1 seasons + shit owners. Weve basically bottomed out in terms of attendance in L1 due to recent seasons, that isn't a factor for Brim and Bolton (well not yet for them!).LargeAddick said:
Neither have been nowhere near as shit as we have been for the last four/five seasons.CAFC_boi said:Both Brum and Bolton have sold 15k plus season tickets - over double our sales, which really puts it into perspective!

We’ll struggle to get 16.5k average in the championship without big away followings
I don’t think there’s the appetite for league one guff even if we walked the league
we‘re dull to most of the outsiders

There's next to no chance that we average 16,500.7

It would be interesting to know what numbers the club budgeted for this season when they set the season ticket prices and likely impact that would have given there was also the deal with SKY incoming and the attractiveness of committing to a ST would diminish once the details were made publicCovered End said:There's next to no chance that we average 16,500.0 -
Absent a football for a fiver type thing I honestly can’t imagine us getting 16-17k regularly in League 1, honestly I can’t even imagine us getting those sorts of numbers regularly in the Championship unless we were up at the top of the table.CAFCTrev said:
I hope so but Im not so sure, even in the final weeks of 18/19 when we were clearly on a promotion run (we won all 6 of our final home games), we still didn't get more than 12k.Swisdom said:
But thinking realistically if we are having a better season and are challenging at the pointy end of the table - where I bloody hope we will be - it's surely achievable to be in the realm of 16,500 - 17,000 on average.
I think it would need a season in the style of 11/12 to hit 16-17k regularly. Our real, actually in the stadium, attendances last season (and the one before), particularly for Tuesday night matches were abysmal.5 -

If that Alex Mitchell can perform for us, he's gonna be one of my favourites for POTY.
What a modest bloke he comes across. Great manners, very dry sense of humour, and seems confident in himself. The exact kind of character I like to see at Charlton.
I of course love Dan's reserved nature as well, just Alex being the new boy I've paid attention to his interviews and content a bit more.
Lovely gesture and what the club is all about, well done Alex, Dan, and Tracey5 -

Was gonna post the same. Watched all of the video content from Slovenia and Mitchell seems a really decent bloke, as in fairness did Edwards, haven’t seen enough of the other new boys to judge but I think if Alex can play as well as he presents himself he’s going to be a fans favourite.Braziliance said:If that Alex Mitchell can perform for us, he's gonna be one of my favourites for POTY.

Two home games before the new year moved to 12:30 kick offs - one of them is at a time when a lot of people will be off work for the Christmas holidays anyway.Callumcafc said:Exactly the conclusion I came to @Rothko
In a normal 46 game season there are six midweek matches scheduled. That’s 6/20.
In a normal 46 game season there are four international weekends. Those matches will either be eligible for TV with a 3pm kick off, or moved to midweek. That’s 10/20.
In a normal 46 game season there are two games on bank holidays over the holiday period (usually Boxing Day and New Years Day). That’s 12/20.
In a normal 46 game season there are two games scheduled over the Easter bank holiday weekend. That’s 14/20.
Leaves six games (home and away) that will be moved to 12:30 kick offs. So realistically you’re looking at around 2-6 lunch time kick offs at the Valley across the whole season, depending on luck of the draw and how well the team is performing.About in line with what I expected.0 -
After listening to all the doomsayers on here i'm beginning to think I may have been a bit hasty in getting my Season Ticket.0

My S/T arrived yesterday. No leaflet with it explaining the extra benefits of having an S/T like there usually is … I guess there aren’t any this season…0

my 4 arrived yesterday, 4 separate envelopes and 4 lots of all the additional literature included in the envelope.
must be a way to post the ones to the same address all together to save the club a few quid3 -
I think the club have explained this before. Ticket dispatch is outsourced and it is cheaper just to send each ticket out in a separate envelope rather than having to pay someone to sort through 7,000 tickets just to find four with the same address.Elthamaddick said:my 4 arrived yesterday, 4 separate envelopes and 4 lots of all the additional literature included in the envelope.

Anyone know how to use the discount to the pre-season friendly or how much it is?
