‘Structurally we were good and physically we were good; we just need to add a little bit more quality and then be a little bit better doing the basics.‘
More incomings then1 -
The only reason I can see for not mentioning it is not wanting fans calling for a new striker if chuks is going to be injured before the season starts.
i don’t think NJ would have any reason for going along that0 -
Sorry Clive, i can't bring myself to click on that.clive said:5 -

The game between The Lions and The Addicks was broken up into three 30-minute chunks, with Neil Harris opting to start with Lukas Jensen in goal, Casper De Norre and George Saville partnering each other in midfield and Tom Bradshaw alongside Kevin Nisbet in attack.
Just 10 minutes in, Saville opened the scoring for Millwall, guiding home a strike from 25 yards out, giving the Charlton goalkeeper no chance.
Duncan Watmore then had an effort deflected onto the post and behind before Tom Leahy - a substitute for Tom Bradshaw - saw a close-range attempt saved in the second third.
A switcharound on 60 minutes saw 10 new Lions come onto the pitch, with Nino Adom-Malaki working the goalkeeper, before Aidomo Emakhu took Alfie Massey's through-ball in his stride to lash a strike into the net, off the far post, with 10 minutes to play.
Macaulay Langstaff then had an effort late on, but his half-volley went wide.

Reading between the lines of how us and them have both reported on it, sounds like they dicked us and Jones is trying to spin a positive out of it. Obviously no way of knowing if this was the case, pure guesswork is all we've been left withclive said:3 -
So nothing has changed then?

I know neither of them is meant to be Alfie May, 'because goals will be coming from all over the pitch', but it would be good if at least one of our two new strikers scored a goal sometime soon.17

Not sure if you’re serious but 9 goals in 3 games ain’t too bad is it .Southbank said:I know neither of them is meant to be Alfie May, 'because goals will be coming from all over the pitch', but it would be good if at least one of our two new strikers scored a goal sometime soon.2 -

So another preseason game and no clean sheet
That is not encouraging, if the team are to get any where near the top six they have to get more clean sheets than last season.12 -
Giving the ball away that leads to a goal ✅
Goalkeeper not saving shots ✅
Not scoring goals ourselves ✅
Nothings changed then 😄8 -
Bit like yourself really. Already ticking off the negativesgolfaddick said:Giving the ball away that leads to a goal ✅

Did tickle me that we didn't mention the score in the headline

Millwall write up didn’t mention the score either from what I can see…0
-
Squad is terrible
Players don't care
Owners are stingy
Directors are clueless
Jones sacked before Xmas
Season's over already.

TBF to the CAFC lads when they got off the coach outside some 10 year olds in the Millwall yobos academy did the throat slit sign so the Charlton team decided to take it a tad easy.
It was a game of 3 thirds.0 -
It sounded like a non competetive training game to me. Three 30 minute thirds is a clue. Also that efforts have been made to ensure it is not classed as a friendly game is another.15

I notice that you said nothing positive after our recent wins but you post a laughing emoji, etc after a loss.golfaddick said:Giving the ball away that leads to a goal ✅

...Looking forward to Friday when we stuff Palarse...✅4 -
I think it’s pretty hard to keep clean sheets when you have 3 different teams and goalies TBH, especially away from home1
