One centre back , expect only Ness to leave
4 attacking mid who can score goals and create Coventry will play the holding role with Taylor as back up .. and one striker who can score 15 plus … that’s our main shopping list ….0 -

Wouldn’t surprise me if we went in for Marvin Ekpiteta at Blackpool0

Athletico Charlton said:I know it is hugely unlikely given a) he is too good and b) he is a winger but RakSaki liked a post or two of Charlton on Facebook recently...!
Hasn't played for Palace (I think mainly through injury), but likely down the list and with no arrivals in the summer.
Come rebuild with us JRS. You know it makes sense!0 -

Ah, shame. Thought it was a bit odd. Never understood what makes people create fake accounts!0 -
RonnieMoore said:Athletico Charlton said:I expect Christian Walton to join.
Free and Jones signed him previously for Luton on loan I believe. In his post match comments yesterday NJ was seething at another Isted mistake I reckon. Keeper will be a huge priority and Walton record, being free and having been with Jones makes him a very obvious target.
Hadn't thought about Dan Potts but again, him knowing NJ and his flexibility to play 2 positions - it seems a good fit and natural replacement for Thomas.
Direct Nathan Jones quote post match about the goal let in:
"It's a poor goal from there, he shouldn't score from there with that type of shot, there is no doubt in my mind about that".
If that isn't calling our keeper out then 🤷
No mention of bobby pitch in relation to goal.4 -

I'm expecting a complete revamp of our centre halves. When Jones was interviewed, he said that three coaches could not all be inept at defensive coaching and said its personnel. He had Small and Ramsay on the pitch who are technically his players. The three centre halves that played have all had issues all season. Ness out of favour now completely so I'm expecting wholesale changes in this area. Gillesphey we are stuck with. However Hector and Thomas are out of contract. I'd be surprised if either get offered a contract unless it's as back up to new incoming cb's.
So much deadwood to get rid of though. It may restrict Jones getting who he wants due to the squad being so big.Taylor ( has he been in a Jones squad at all?) McGrandles, Fraser all need to be moved on. The loans sent back .
It has to be a huge churn otherwise it's going to be another mid table season at best.
First signing for me would be Dobson. Coventry isn't fit to lace George's boots and doesn't even play the role George dominates in.1 - Sponsored links:

Now there’s a player that would make you excited to go to the valley.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Charlton side lack goals / the ability to beat a player (that gets fans off their seats) as much as this current crop.1 -

Would be a great signing but he won't be in L1 next season. Being linked to PL clubs, whether he gets that move he will be Championship at least (if not back with Brest)0 -
Club have triggered Ness 1 year extension, so would assume that's to get a fee2

Goalkeeper wise , I wonder if we could half chance of getting James Shea from Luton hasn't been first choice there for a long time and would know Nathan Jones very well and I believe his contract runs out at the end of the season0

In fairness to Gillesphey, he was part of the Plymouth team that won league one last year so he has proved he can play a part in a promo winning side.
I agree with you though. Other than being a route one long ball merchant he doesn’t bring a lot to the party1 -

Coventry has yet to play a full season for any club, that's despite him being 24 years old. Also, we haven't seen anything in his game that suggests he's Championship quality. So what exactly are you looking at?2 - Sponsored links:

I don't actually expect Taylor to go in the summer , it will all be about getting him fully fit for preseason given he was signed injured , then has just had a string of injuries. Would actually see him as Coventry's cover.1

Has it come from out of the club that Taylor is being left out so he can have a proper pre-season or is it just an online rumour?0

Fortune 82nd Minute said:My big wish would be to buy a combative midfielder who is not frightened to put his foot in yet has a good range of passing ability and gets around the pitch creating good opportunities for his colleagues. And someone who is in his mid 20s, so in his prime, instead of old has beens like Arter and Watson.
Such players are not easy to find but after extensive research I have found one on the books of some obscure Hungerian tean. Goes by the name of George Dobson.
He should be our first signing, even if we have to pay a fee to do so. Crazy I know but then finances in football are crazy anyway.Fehérvárlife says he lacks a bit of pace, so maybe leave that one alone

The real mystery is Lloyd Jones who seems to have vanished without trace, despite our defensive issues.2

I wonder if fans at other clubs do the same wishful cherry picking of the players we have here.0
