Ten Hag isn't really helping himself here. Weird to start the game with Bruno on the right, and McTominay as the number 10, when you've got 2 wide players sat on the bench.

United are an absolute mess.
Their football is dire.
It's almost 2024 and Jonny Evans is starting games for them, and he's not even their worst player.
They spent almost 220m on Antony, Sancho and Mount and Ten Hag now isn't even starting two of them and the other decided he's had enough and would rather sit at home until January.
Reguilon is playing for them, and Spurs didn't even want him.
Aside from Bruno i can't think of a single first team signing in recent years who's actually performed at the expected level for them.
Bruno and Antony are possibly the two most unlikeable players in the league.
I'm sure there's more but that's enough for starters.8 -

I was just repeating the mantra that was bandied about by the VAR advocates when it was being introduced. It's there to stop the "clear and obvious" errors - with the Thierry Henry handball being the often quoted example.
And here we are however many years later with absolutely dog shit decisions still being made and NOT being corrected. So, what was the point?!

As though they're on the training ground every day and set up the teams tactics and style of play. Ten Hag has spent almost 400m since taking over and the team look no better than when he joined.3 -

Now we have a "subjective" offside decision, where the ref is called to the screen. (Is that a first? I can't remember a ref going to the screen for an offside before.)
Was it a "clear and obvious" wrong decision to give the goal? If it was, why did it take 4 minutes to decide that?
The mentality is all wrong. They are looking for reasons to overturn onfield decisions and are terrified of getting it wrong, hence the delays and then passing the buck.
It should be if a goal is given then is there a clear and obvious reason to disallow it. If there is then fine, If there isn't then get on with the game. If it takes 4 minutes to come to a non-decision then there isn't an obvious error to get involved with and correct.0 -

A lot of decisions in football are subjective. If VAR was only used to correct the howlers then absolutely fine with me. But it's not. Instead we are taking 5 minutes to make subjective decisions - so no real gain. No real gain means no real point in having it in my book.
Either use it for absolutely clear errors only or get rid.1 -

Because like you say, the majority of the rules in Football are subjective, so one person may always think foul, the other may not.
