Not the kind of ambitious striker signing to get us scoring and is proven at this level and moving up near top of the league like we all expect and hope🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️But then again what can we expect no top striker will come near us with no manager even here🙄0

Should be JCH since Holden is gone9

Tired of hearing how they were going to rip through the leagues beating all in front of them. That’s going well.sam3110 said:
Signed Boyle and McLean, both on big wages for League 2, also some of the wages they are already paying (O'Connell, Mullins, Lee) are big for League 2 teams.MintoHumbugs said:
Linked with everyone but will buy no one as usual . They started with 10 of last seasons 11 the other week. Reynolds might be putting money into the club but very little on players.Scoham said:https://www.dailypost.co.uk/sport/football/five-players-linked-wrexham-transfers-27614257
Wrexham linked with five strikers, Chuks, Lyle and our former academy player Hanlan being three of them.
No idea what your agenda is against Wrexham, but I'd kill to have someone like Reynolds and McElhenney pumping money into the club.3 -
4 starts, 19 sub apps and 4 goals in the league for Barnsley last season. Year before he was in the Dutch league where he made 21 starts, 17 sub apps and scored 2 in the top tier.king addick said:

He’s 23 but not experienced for his age and still has a lot to prove.
Hopefully there’s a great player there who just needs game time but it’s a big gamble considering he’s not yet had a good season and we already have a lot of young players in the squad.

It's as much how much more he can unlock from May as it is how many he scores himself.12 -

It is, isn't it? First time they've been in League Two for 15 years. I think any talk of a need for successive promotions is a bit much.MintoHumbugs said:

Wouldn't write them off yet - Stockport had a similar torrid start to last season and missed out on the autos by one place and four points - Wrexham now are only three points behind 7thMintoHumbugs said:

Exactly my thoughts and disrespecting other league 2 clubs as if they are there to be walked over by them.Chunes said:

having just looked on youtube for what kind of player he is its hard to tell with the little vids there are but doesnt look like your typical hold up strong striker to bring others into play like May🤷🏻♂️0 -
This - not particularly looking for Tedic to be a goalscoring machine (double figures would be good) but how much he (on anyone) will assist May + take some of the pressure off LeaburnDamoNorthStand said:CharltontillidieCOYR said:Not the kind of ambitious striker signing to get us scoring and is proven at this level and moving up near top of the league like we all expect and hope🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️But then again what can we expect no top striker will come near us with no manager even here🙄

Well at least he passes the height test.
Out of contract next year.0 -
We're loaning a 23 year old with 16 Serbian u21 appearances, league 1 experience, who Man City paid 3million euros for to work alongside our goal scoring striker and people are disappointed by this?38

PEC Zwolle arent a team with much quality and Barnsley are a team with a decent strike force already.Scoham said:

Imagine he will get more of a run here due to lack of options so we will see how he does.
I dont know enough about him to say if he is bad or good. Would be nice if he can score goals but there are other players who can contribute there as he will be holding up play etc.
Anyway...lets see!1 -
Yep being Charlton fan is not providing much pleasure at the moment, but come on a 23 year old who has done nothing, you keep taking the happy pills.000__Jaaaaay__000 said:

If he wants to make it in the game, especially given who his parent club is... He needs to start producing - So why not here? - The attitude on here, only wanting proven players... proven Managers is a bit oddRedvaliant said:

We're a League One team, need to start properly scouting players, and seeing potential again.
Kirk | McGrandles | Payne have proven themselves at this level prior to joining havent they - Same with Nicky Ajose who scored a ton of goals prior to joining, that worked out great.
Need to start adopting the Peterborough approach to identifying players, rather than our current one.9 -
Probably hasn’t played for two seasons0
-
I don’t think Tedic is an awful signing but let’s not pretend that this does anything to quieten those saying that the new mob aren’t serious about funding a promotion challenging squad. Huge work to do before Friday in terms of quality and experience in through the door.8

No mate I don't want just proven players but we are fielding enough youngsters as it is. The team is crying out for some experience and leaders on the pitch.ForeverAddickted said:

Tedic career stats:
63 starts, 65 sub appearances, 6356 minutes, 20 goals.
So he averages a goal every 317 minutes.0 -
Weren’t you hoping for someone more proven rather than another youngster lacking experience?RC_CAFC said:We're loaning a 23 year old with 16 Serbian u21 appearances, league 1 experience, who Man City paid 3million euros for to work alongside our goal scoring striker and people are disappointed by this?
If he had made a bigger impact at Barnsley it would be exciting, but without that he’s someone who could just need a run of games or a player we’ll be looking to send back in January.Last season is more relevant than his transfer fee or u21 caps. There could be potential there, but we know from experience big clubs sign promising young players in bulk in the hope a few make it, many of them don’t reach their potential.
One to wait and see, I’m not writing him off but he’s not one of those signings I could confidently say will do well.6 -
So if he plays 40 games. . . Scores us 10 match winners and sets up 10 goals for May. . . Job done!Chris_from_Sidcup said:Tedic career stats:

Tedic should be a decent option and at least gives us a bit more of a target man to play with May. But I hope this is just the start of things for in's in the next 48 hours2

Do we know anything about his record for City's under 23's. They must see something in him, can't see why they would keep a 23 year old on the books?Chris_from_Sidcup said:Tedic career stats:

Hopefully Tedic can do a job, if only Holden had not stopped us buying JCH or Nombe and then used up all the remaining transfer budget on being fired, damn him.....31
-
Players like this get long contracts, spend some time developing at the club and go on loan for a few years. He won’t make it with them but if he does well with us he could be sold for a few million and potentially a profit.DubaiCAFC said:

Don't think he's played for them, or not much anyway. Been on loan since they signed him. I'd imagine they just haven't been able to sell him on. His contract expires next summer I according to TransfermarktDubaiCAFC said:
