Aussies need 199. We need 7 wickets. Game on.1

Such a shame about yesterday being a rest day for England but not Australia.0
-
Give us Head 🧐🤦🏻♂️
And Smith.0 -
It is staggering to believe that this is Anderson's 4th match and 8th innings respectively in this Series but he has yet to get more than two wickets and one wicket respectively in any of them. Until today hopefully.2

Jimmy needs to sort it out0

There's a very fine line between being great and not great in Elite sport.
Jimmy has clearly fallen below his own high standards. He has to ask himself why that is and does he have the body to get back to where he would like?
At 41 years old I would suggest it's going to be an uphill struggle.2 - Sponsored links:

At 21 and 31 yes.
But at 41when the conditions seem to favour his bowling over the years ?
I stick to mitigation and he didn't get the prep in when he had the groin problem.
Then it's the selectors call.
Still time to grab a couple of wickets but ASAP.0 -
Odds swinging back to the Aussies?1

All of a sudden it looks the Aussies have the finish line in sight. Oh well.0

Australia 53% now, England 18%, Draw 29% presumably with rain possible!0

Absolute joke0

He was in control of that?0

That's why Ben Stokes said no.

Looking at it from behind, correct decision, his hand hit his knee and the ball popped out0

Why did he review it?0

They are and the way of McCullum/Stokes doing things is to select on potential/class whatever a player's form. But bowlers aren't normally afforded that level of opportunity when things just simply aren't working. When a bowler has taken just 5 wickets at 85 each (and you also have a front line spinner with just 6 wickets at 68), you do rather become dependent on the three other main bowlers performing in each and every game if you are going to win a game. Equally, it's not as if we didn't have alternatives in the shape of Tongue or Robinson who have between them 15 wickets at 29 apiece.Pelling1993 said:

Broad has stated that the reason he wants to bow out right now is because of the desire to do so when he isn't on a downward slope. For that reason, I do hope that Anderson is still with us in a year's time, that he does have a glorious summer and that he makes the decision to go out at that time. Because he deserves to.

Yeah the more I watch it. It’s not out. Absolutely idiotic from Stokes1
-
I'm so pleased that wasn't Jonny Bairstow as he would be called all the cnuts under the sun.

fuck off hold on to it
you know you fucked up cos you stopped celebrating you twat2 -
Stokes coming out in sympathy with his mate Bairstow there.0
-
Not out. Silly mistake by Stokes. Might've lost the Ashes0

I'm not sure why we lost the review though. You don't lose one if there is a question as to whether a catch is grounded and this is a similar issue - was the catch a completed one?1
