Would imagine this is a nail in the coffin for the competitiveness of the Premier league now that 3 clubs will have oil money.
City have 5 titles in 6 years and have finished top 2 in 10 of the last 12 years. United with Qatari money would have to seriously fuck things up to not challenge City now. Newcastle have already got top 4 and have only just got started.
Newcastle might take a while longer to build, as they're still restricted by FFP and cannot spend fortunes but looking further ahead it will be hard to see those 3 not nailing the top 3 places consistently.
The thing is United don't need Qatari money to compete with City, they just need the owners to stop taking money out and and employ someone half competent to run the place.
Since the Glazers have owned United they have cost the club as much money as City have had put in.
Then you look at their abysmal record on recruitment and, importantly, player sales they don't need a massive cash injection.

Well I suspect it's how real football fans view the situation. There has always been an order in football, where consistently certain long established clubs ruled the roost based on size, history and attendance.
That order only changes with money. No way on God's earth without money would, Blackburn, Chelsea, Shitty and soon Newcastle have ever had the success they enjoyed.
If Abramovich bought Spurs rather than Chelsea, Sheikh bought Everton rather than Shitty, Sunderland rather than Newcastle, it would be them having success. It doesn't appear right to me and just seems unfair. They haven't organically earned that success.
Forest, Derby and Leicester's success was hard earned and was a natural achievement through progression. A bit like the Curbs years if you want.
What is hilarious is where I have seen some Chelsea fans moaning about City. I'm guessing the meaning of the word ironic is lost on them. Just need to swap the prefix from "oil" for "Russian mafia" in their case.

Saturday - drank all through the night and was still singing and dancing in his full kit at sunrise on Sunday. Sunday - flew back to Manchester. Then flew to Ibiza. Partied through the night again. Monday - flew back to Manchester and could barely walk off the plane. Had the parade where he carried on drinking then they had another party in the evening. Tuesday - has to meet up with the England squad!
I'm going to guess he isn't going to feature v Malta!

Liverpool have already requested starting the season with away games, as they're also going ground rebuilding work, extending the Anfield Road end!
From a policing standpoint that looks possible .None of the rival clubs are both playing at home which makes an initially believable However, the fact it’s on Twitter will guess it isn’t correct.
