eating is cheating and with my guts I can’t afford to be touching veg when on the piss
match day sponsorship was £240 per head with seat in directors box, programme, advertising, pictures in dugouts/ ground/ 3 course meal , cheese and biscuits , sausage roll / pie / veggie stuff after match , beer and wine thrown in all day , loads of banter with Bob Bolder , go on pitch pre match , choose man of match … in all honesty it’s a bit expensive for a shithouse league one club but a way of supporting the club and getting mates together once a year .
I choose it to get pissed tell everyone how shit we are and cuddle Bob .
Such a thing would not be for me simply because of the food situation.0 -

the food is good according to the friends who eat it and I'm sure the vegetarian option would be decent , the food definitely has improved over the years in there
I've sat in centre circle lounge on just a smaller table of friends and think it was less than £130 per head for food and drink and seat but that was pre covid so don't know prices/packages now0 -

I thought the vegetarian option would be decent, that is until I experienced events at the club on three occasions.
One was a ‘nobody told us’, experience where there was nothing at all available, one was inedible random grey slop in pastry, and one which led to the actual chef accepting my politely put feedback and saying ‘I blame myself’. Ravi was embarrassed and apologetic each time, but ultimately he was defeated. The club still took a reckonable wedge though. I can almost see the sneers and hear the guffaws of the meat eaters when they read about this kind of stuff.
I am pleased for the people who enjoy these experiences, but they are not for me given what has happened.
I would advise other vegetarians and any vegans not to participate in any Charlton Athletic catered event.
For clarity the subject of the food on this thread was not initiated by me or anybody I know.4 -
Thoroughly deserved awards for Jes last night. I voted early and picked Dobbo but, in all honesty, if I’d waited I would probably have gone for JRS by the time the votes closed.It’s hard to take that we are a club that has fallen so far that we have to rely on a loan from them. But that’s nothing to do with Jes. He’s exactly what a prem loan should be, if we pick right. Yes, there were games where he was off the boil, but his contribution over the season was fantastic. 15 goals from a first year winger, 9 assists to add to that. And he gave us some great entertainment with his play as well. Put in effort & played for the shirt in a way that many of our own players would do well to learn from and try to copy (the effort at least, if not the ability). Also seems to have been great for Tyreece to have around as well. An absolute model pro and loan.
Next stop should be a Championship club. My only regret that that won’t be with his parent club!!19 -

100% mate like you I voted early and went Dobson but without doubt the right person won. Those people moaning re his parent club need to give their heads a shake. The lad was a breath of fresh air in terms of ability and attitude which can only rub off on our youngsters imo. I might be wrong bit I genuinely believed him when he said in the post match interview how much he has enjoyed being here. Very nice lad and proper Charlton too. Joined by Heidi Logan from the women's team. She was lovely and very chatty.

100%, yes and planning with Dean for next season. Was at the training ground on Thursday too. Has been around throughout. I was lucky enough to have a long chat with him at POTY. He confirmed that he attended other games when we play.
